Miniature Dressing Table Set made with Polymer Clay

Hi Folks,

How is everyone?  Well I am just pretty much the same. Getting a bit tired now. Less than 2 weeks for baby to come and I'm getting a bit nervous and obviously excited. I just can't wait to have the little bundle in my arms. Waiting for that moment gets me a bit frustrated so I am keeping myself occupied with polymer clay miniatures.

In the past week I have completed a dressing table set which will be placed in my next project the Woodcutter's cottage. As I already have some furniture prepared for it. I could visualize what I wanted. So the small table, dressing table and even the wall paper are set for this cottage.

The dressing table set made with polymer clay.
So here is the list of items that have I have done.

Two silver frames: The baby frame is a photo of my mother when she was around 1 year old and the other one is a photo of myself when I was 19 years old

Silver tray and the jewelry. The jewelry is also made with polymer clay and fine wire.

Hair brush, Hand Mirror, Clothes brush, and ivory comb, The Hair brush and clothes brush are made out of polymer clay and a piece of  fur.

Two candles sticks, which are also made with polymer clay and hand painted by me.

Perfume bottles: These are glass beads and I have added polymer clay and printed their labels.

Vase with roses.

I hope you all like them. I am really pleased with the outcome. There is still room for improvement.

Please keep tuned as I have been working some more on other miniatures.

Wishing you all a nice weekend.

Take Care,

Conservatory with New Plants and Flowers!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. So far I haven't started my new project but I have been thinking about it a lot and I have some great plans for  it. Like you all know baby is almost round the corner so it would be unwise to think of building a new house right now. I have been making some polymer clay miniatures in the mean time that will be added to my new project. At least it keeps me busy and relaxed while waiting.

Well my new project will consist of three kits which are the Wood Cutter's Cottage, a Conservatory and The English Country Garden. These three kits are all from the Dolls House Emporium which unfortunately all three have been discontinued years ago. The Wood Cutter's Cottage consist of a four roomed house and I will be adding a Conservatory to it which I had already built a few years ago. The Conservatory was meant to go for my Chestnuts house only that when I had built it's basement I couldn't add it to the whole property. So my conservatory is just being displayed alone without being added to any of my built properties. Now with the Wood Cutter's Cottage and the English Country Garden it will fit in perfectly.

The Conservatory at the moment

I will be making some alternations to the back wall of the conservatory so it will be part of the actual house and obviously I will be changing it's decor. I have been making some polymer clay plants and flowers for the whole new project which most of them will be fitted in the conservatory.

I have done four plants which one of them is a hanging basket and I have made a Lilly plant in a pot and my favourite is the vase full of roses. The vase and pots have also been done by me with polymer clay.

I hope you all liked my new polymer clay miniature plants. Please keep tuned as I have been really busy doing some more miniatures for my new Project the Wood Cutter's Cottage.

Polymer Clay miniature Sculptured Doll and Toys

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are well. After finishing 'Le Forge' I miss not doing anything especially now being so frustrated waiting for the baby to come. I really relax when I come to my miniature hour and I always look forward to it.

Before the baby arrives I won't start building my next project but I am doing some polymer clay miniatures to keep myself busy and to clear my mind for a couple of minutes.

New Toys for 'Little Angel's Toy Shop'
For the last couple of days I had this obsession to try to sculpture a doll, well at least a small little toy doll. As I am still quite a beginner in polymer clay I knew that this task was going to be quite difficult. So I started off by shaping her head and body. I have done her legs and arms separately so I could join them to her body with wire. This would have helped to pose her in different positions.

After baking her I joined her limbs with wire and painted her facial features. I also painted her socks and black shoes. They where quite tricky to do but I have manged to do a good job.

Then I dressed her up with some colorful small floral patterned material, added some ribbon and lace and gave her golden curly hair. I was so thrilled that I finished her off. She's not perfect but I am really pleased with her. I have called her 'Bettina'. As I don't have a nursery for my next project. I decided to give little Bettina to 'Little Angel's Toy Shop'. I have asked the shop keeper if she would look after her till a new mummy will pick her. The lovely shop keeper was so happy to keep her and here she is in her new home.

The next day after making Bettina I really grew attached to her and I went back to 'Little Angel's Toy Shop' to see how she was doing. I asked the shop keeper if Bettina was being a good doll. The shop keeper didn't have any problem with her behavior but she was concerned that Bettina was feeling a bit lonely sitting on her rocking chair waiting for the right mummy to pick her up. So I went back to my table to make some more toys to keep Bettina company.

I have made a little teddy just for Bettina so she could carry it with her wherever she went and I did a lovely working Hobby Horse to stay with her.

After finishing these toys I took them to 'Little Angel's Toy Shop' and Bettina was really excited to see her new companions. The shop keeper was happy to see Bettina being so joyful.

I hope you all liked my new toys. Please do keep tuned as I have some more miniatures to share with you.

'Le Forge' - Finally Completed!

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend. Firstly I wanted to welcome a new follower of my blog. WELCOME Ellise!

Today is quite a big day! Finally 'Le Forge' is totally completed. It took me almost 9 months to complete but I am just thrilled that it is ready. I also have a lot of mixed feelings as I am feeling a bit sad that I won't work on it anymore. After finishing a project I always feel a bit sorry like I am leaving a best friend behind but then again I always look forward to start off a new project or house. In these circumstances I am looking forward to the new baby and a new cottage.
'Le Forge'
At the moment 'Le Forge' is my crown jewel from all the projects that I have made so far. I was really afraid to start it as I wasn't sure if I was capable to do what I pictured in my mind but everything fitted in perfectly. The Gate House kit from the Dolls House Emporium was amazing even if I have altered it and added to it. I guess that is the fun of it all! Trying to make it as unique and original as much as possible.I really enjoyed making my own furniture and miniatures too for this project.

Well here are quite some photos of it with new accessories and pieces added in the last few months. For the next couple of weeks I will be taking it easy as baby is almost round the corner. In the mean time I will still continue making some new miniatures and also I might start preparing for my new project 'The Woodcutter's Cottage'.

So please keep tuned as I still have much to share. I hope you all like the finished 'Le Forge'.

Take Care and see you soon.
