The Fairy Tale Magical Mystery Tower comes to it's "Happily Ever After!"

Hello my dear friends,

Here we are again! Being busy like always and probably you all got used to it by now. The weather hasn't settled in like I was hoping for and instead of Summer it seems like Autumn is more likely to come. I wonder what happened to my sunny, hot summer. I also wanted to welcome two new followers of my blog; Sharon Larkin and Kyle Lefort. WELCOME!

Today I will be sharing with you the last and final update to my fairy tale tower. Yes The Fairy Tale Magical Mystery Tower came to it's "Happily Ever After!" ending. I still can't believe that another project has come to an end without adding more to it. It does pain me when I totally complete one of my projects. It feels like I am saying good bye to good old friend that has kept me company for a long time.

As the inside was complete it was time for me to decorate as much as possible the exterior of the building. I was very pleased of how I had plastered and painted the outside but  it definitely still needed that little extra oomph!

So the first thing that I changed was the tower's flag. It's original flag was made out of a frail material in plain red; something that I didn't want for this tower. I have used the flag from Disney's Motion Picture Tangled. It just fitted in perfectly being Rapunzel's Tower. I was thrilled that it turned out perfectly with the scene.

Then I have made some hinges for the door leading to the Witch's Den. Being a bit spooky I went for a medieval touch. I have cut the hinges from thick cardboard, painted them and stuck them to the the door. The where just perfect.

As the tower's kit came without any perspex for the windows I decided to add them myself. So I found a plastic box cover. I have criss crossed it with a permanent marker and fitted them in the lower windows.

Then came the hardest part; decorating the tower with flowers. I have made all the flowers and leaves myself using polymer clay. They took me days to finish but it was all worth it.

And finally this is how it looks.

I wanted to thank all of you who have followed the progress of this tower. I really appreciate it. Now I will be taking a short break just before I start another project. It is always better to clear up your mind from one project before starting another. In the mean time I will still be updating you all with some polymer clay miniatures that I have been making. It won't be too long before I start as I am already preparing for the big starting day of my new project. So make sure to remain tuned.

Take Care and see you soon.
