Christmas Room Box Display

Hello my dear friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. One of my favorite days where I get to spend it with my family and parents, opening a few presents and watching my children excited for Santa's arrival.

Today I will be sharing with you this year's Christmas project that I did in the last couple of weeks. It is just a simple room box which I had stashed and never used. I had some Christmas miniatures which came for free with miniature purchases. So it was a good idea to turn them in to a Christmas display.

My stash
Firstly I started by wall papering the walls and carpeting the floor. I added a false door and a false window which gave the room box more dept and a look of a homey room. The Scene behind the window is a picture of my own Santa's Work Shop. I have also made some nice matching curtains.

After wall papering, the fun begun by adding the pieces and decorations. In this room box you can see Santa relaxing after his big day of delivering the presents and spending his Christmas with Mrs. Claus.

I hope you have enjoyed this small Christmas Project.

Keep tuned for more. In the mean time I wish you and your loved ones a  very Merry Christmas.

Take Care and See you soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca

Some Outside Works on The Toll House

Hello my dear friends,

So now we are in December getting closer to Christmas. Are you all prepared for the festive season? Christmas time keeps me busy all month but I don't mind it one bit especially since I got the kids.  The weather here is getting colder especially during the evening which I really enjoy. I just can't imagine having a warm Christmas. I also wanted to welcome two new followers of my blog; Welcome Franca and Tatiana!

So today I am just going to share with you some of the Toll house's outside works that I have been working on for the last few weeks. Sometimes it can get a bit boring  bricking up the walls and tiling the ceiling. So from time to time I do something different, like making miniatures or adding to the inside of the toll house. It does make me a bit nervous if I don't change the routine.

So this is what I have been doing now for the last few weeks. I have bricked most of the outside walls. I still need to brick up the extension that I have made to the building. I am very pleased with the new look. I have chosen red bricks for the facade as most of the Toll Houses where built out of red bricks.

After bricking most of the outside walls, I have added two chimneys. One at the back to the actual building right on top of the drawing room's fire place and one on the pantry's roof which I have also bricked. Then I added grey tiling on the roof. The pantry's roof was quite easy to do but the other roof needed to be cut in several angles. But at t he end it was all worth it. I am happy with the results.

There still a lot to add especially to the facade. So far this is how the whole building looks like for now.

I hope you have liked what I did so far to the facade.

I also wanted to let you know that my 7th miniature downloadable book is available now which is another Christmas book called 'A Christmas Carol
