The Study in Pembroke Grange

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend. It has been a while since I updated you on my ongoing Regency style project Pembroke Grange.  There is always so much to tell about my different projects that I never got the chance to share with the new additions to Pembroke Grange. Not today!...Today I'll get to share the study room in Pembroke Grange.

The Study
The Study was a room that I was really looking forward to do. I started off by working on lots and lots of book covers and books to fill in the bookcase and to place a few randomly on the desk.

Apart from the books added to the desk, there are other accessories that I made such as the letters, the ink pot with the quill, scrolls and the candelabra with candles. The desk chair was also upholstered again by me.

The accessories above the mantel piece and are also miniatures that I painted. My favorite are the pair of Urns. The walls have been decorated with Regency period paintings which I have printed on canvas and are framed with my hand painted frames.

In the center of the room I have placed a small table with a miniature galleon ship, books and a spy glass that I printed with my 3D Printer and painted.

Here are some more pictures of the room. I am sure that Mr. Darcy would love this.

I hope you like what I have done so far. I am sure that I will be coming back to this room and add more details here and there but so far it's looking good.

This is all for today. Hopefully I will be updating you with the completion of the project 'The Patient' which is part of the 'The Physician' and 'The Cures & Remedies Apothecary', so make sure to keep tuned.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

The Patient; Ben's Bedroom - Part 2 on 'Life & Style'

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend. I have to say, I have been very productive during the past few days. I have managed to work on my two ongoing projects, prepared some orders for supplies that I need, I also worked on a few miniatures for my clients, today I rearranged the houses in Regent Street and prepared all the necessary items for tomorrow's Life & Style TV Show. I have to say I am quite pleased with myself.

Today I will share with you the progress on Master's Ben bedroom which now most of you know is 'The Patient' in my project.

I started off by adding the floor and wall paper for this bedroom. Even though it's a little boy's room, I didn't want it with shades of baby's blues or looking like a nursery. I kept it simple and still ideal for a kid, so I choose sailing galleons. Apparently Ben likes ships.

Once that was ready I started working on the fireplace and it's surrounding.  I have made the fireplace using my 3D printer and then painted it.

Once that was done. I started having a few ideas of what furniture pieces I wanted to add to the room so it could give me a better picture of where to fit the door at the back wall. I like adding these false doors. For some reason it give the whole property more depth.

I was quite happy with the outcome and even if it is a small room, it was just perfect for a kid's bedroom.

The time came that I had to share my progress on 'Life & Style' TV show with the presenter Charles Saliba.

Here are the video clips to see the progress of the project during the show.

There is always time for that one photo of Charles and I at the Studio.

And here is how the room looks like so far.

Ben is doing well. He is recovering from his flu but like all flues it does take its course. The poor boy is getting bored so his mother Mrs. Hayward went to The Dickens Book Shop to borrow some books for him. Mr. Dickens found some nice story books that he was sure that Ben would enjoy.

I hope you like what I have done so far. Tomorrow I will be back on the show with the complete bedroom which will also complete the whole project. Make sure to keep tuned for the new updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Who's 'The Patient'?

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week and that you are all doing well. Like always, I have been busy trying to keep up with two projects and working on new miniatures.

As a few of you already know I have been working on my latest project 'The Patient' which is the last room box to be added to the 'The Physician' and 'The Apothecary'. The three room boxes are being shared during the 'Life & Style' TV Show on the Maltese Channel NET TV.

As my first post on this project was quite vague, I had a couple of questions from you followers asking about 'The Patient'. "Who's the Patient?" "What's the patient all about?" "Will it be part of the Physician's clinic?"

So here I am to give you more details of who's the patient and the story line behind it all.

Dr. Keller the Physician has been quite busy during this Winter. It was almost time for him to call it a day before he went out to do his house visits. He only had two more patients to see and the last to be seen was Master Ben Hayward who happens to live in the same building.

Dr. Keller was Ben's doctor since the day he was born. Mrs. Hayward was quite worried about her youngest son as he has been poorly for the past two days.

Mrs. Hayward

Dr. Keller examined Ben. He indeed looked pale, had a high temperature and was coughing.

Master Ben
Making sure that Ben was in no danger, Dr. Keller informed Mrs. Hayward that her son caught the seasonal flu. Ben needed to stay in bed, keep warm, drink a lot of fluids and take his prescribed syrup.  He assured Mrs. Hayward that he will be back on his feet in a few days. He also promised that he will visit the boy in two days.

As soon as Mrs. Hayward thanked the good doctor, and left, Ben was tucked up in his bed already looking better after his visit to his favorite doctor.

So as you can see 'The Patient' is the seven year old Ben who happened to get the flu and his bed room is right on top of the Physician's clinic.

The lovely dolls were made by my friend and favorite doll maker Beverley Senatore. Thank you Beverley  for making my dolls houses look more alive.

Will be sharing more of Ben's room very soon. so make sure to keep tuned for the next update on 'The Patient' project.

Take Care and See You Soon.

'The Patient' New Project for 'Life & Style'

Hello Everyone,

Here I am once again. Hope you are all having a great week. It has been a while since I shared my ongoing projects. A few weeks ago I got to share the start of my new project called 'The Patient'. This is the final room box which will be part of  the 'Cures & Remedies' Apothecary - Druggist and 'The Physician'.

I have designed the room box to make it in the shape of a roof to go on top the rest of the building

The roof is slanting and I have added a dormer window to the front.

I added the roof slates and to make the roof batons I used bamboo skewers.

The day came that I had to share the start of this room box on 'Life & Style' TV Show on the Maltese Channel NET TV. I completed the outside of the project live during the show. During the show I continued tiling the slates, painted the roof and added a few weathering details to the whole thing.

Here you can see the slots during the progress of the project at the show.

Like always Charles Saliba presents the show and gets to share the project with me with the audience.

The room box fitted nicely on the rest of the project.

This is all for today. I hope you will find this project interesting. I have still lots to share about this project and Pembroke Grange which I am still working on during the weekends. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,
