The start of the Kitchen in Le Château!

 Hello Everyone, 

Hope you are all well. I have so much to share with you and I'm quite excited about it. 

During the last weekend I started working on the kitchen of Le Château.

I started off with the back wall where  I worked on the stove area with tiles and prepared a closure with shelves for the pantry.

I have placed a net door for the pantry and built a shelf over the opening of the stove. I am really happy with the stove as I have found this gem when visiting The Netherlands just a month ago from the dolls house shop 'The Cabinet' in Gouda.

Wooden Beams have also been fixed to the ceiling to give the room more character. 

Now the room is ready to be decorated with furniture and accessories. I have started to add some pieces and so far I have to say I am very happy with it.

The ground floor is now complete. Time to move to the first floor.

Another addition for the DHE Miniature Museum

 Hello Everyone, 

Hope you had a great weekend. I have been quite busy working on my project and I will be sharing my progress very soon.

Today I wanted to share with you a new addition that just arrived from the Uk for the DHE Miniature Museum. I am so pleased that I found the miniature Holmes Lodge.

The tiny Dolls House Emporium houses are made out of resin. They have been discontinued for ages and to find one of these pieces is quite rare. So far I have collected a few and I'm always at the look out to add to the room. 

Holmes Lodge was quite the dolls house with a nice bay window and unique roof. 

Now Holmes Lodge stands proudly next to The Queen Ann. Here is a photo of the complete room.

Vintage Enna Baby Bath Set

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are all fine and that you enjoyed your weekend. Today I have something special to share with you that I received just a couple of days ago. 

I came across this beautiful vintage Enna Baby Bath complete Set. It's circa late 1930's, early 1940's. I couldn't resist it and I knew that baby Gloria that lives in the Tudor Manor would have loved it. 

 The Baby bath set includes a nappy changer that opens up to a small bath, a bucket where mummy would trow baby's soiled baby diapers; all set for boiling, a laundry box where we keep the baby's dirty clothes and a chamber pot. 

The bucket has it's own lid and the laundry box opens up too.

The nappy changer opens up into the baby's bath tub. Originally the stand would have closed once the bath was removed. 

I wasn't very sure about the scale of the set so I kindly asked Mrs Nobel to try the nappy changer for baby Gloria. Mrs Nobel was delighted with the set. It was perfect! She said that there would be no more back pains while washing and changing baby Gloria. 

The set fitted nicely in to the bathroom in the Tudor  which is exactly next to the baby's room so Mrs Nobel will find it easier with the baby.
