Decorating the Sitting room of Le Château

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend and that you are all well. Finally this weekend I got to work a bit more on my project Le Château.

Before sharing my progress, I wanted to welcome the new followers to My Miniature World Blog and also I have a WINNER!!! to announce for the miniature Victorian Photo album. I added the strips of papers with your lovely names, popped them in a paper bag and my assistant (my little Leah) drawn out a name. So the luck Winner is Bethany Smith. Congratulations Bethany. Kindly contact me privately with your details so I can send it off to you. There will be more give-aways in the next couple of months so make sure not to miss out!

Coming back to my project, I finally got to decorate the sitting room for my Le Château.

First I started off by decorating the wall above the fire place with a framed painting.

On the mantle piece I made a clock and two cherub candle sticks that suite it quite well. I am so happy how these accessories turned out after I hand painted them.

The room is quite elaborated as it is, so for furniture, I only wanted to add the sofa, two arm chairs and a small coffee table. I got this sitting room set with all intentions to give it a make-over and I have to say I was quite successful.

After I worked  on it and added more detail, it suited the room much better.

I painted the face of the coffee table in a way that looked more like marble.

It had been a while since I worked with polymerclay and it gives me great joy when I do. I have made the fruit for the fruit bowl and I am thrilled with the final results.

Here are a few photos of the complete sitting room.

I hope you like the sitting room.  I can't wait to continue working on this project. I think the residents will be quite happy with their house.

This is all for today. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

So that was a wrap up for 2020.  A few would ask what' next for 2021? There are quite a few plans I have to say, a few of them are more certain than others. So let's go for the certain ones.

Will continue you working on the French Style Dolls House, 'Le Château', hopefully by the end of this year it will be complete.

Hopefully after completing the French House we can move to St. George's Hill House which will be transformed into an Edwardian Period Mansion.

If all things go well Posy and I will be travelling once again to The Netherlands in May for the Big Event Dollshouses, Dolls and Teddies Show in Hetogenbosch. Both of us are so looking forward to it.

So that it all. Let' hope that we will have a better year for all of us and I am sure that there will be more dolls house projects and miniatures.

Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates. I have so much to share.
