The Start of the Renovation - "The Minikin"

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend.  The weather is quite cold this year here in Malta. I forgot when it was the last time it was a cold.  It is quite normal that January and February are cold but not as cold as this year. 

Today I am very excited to share with you the new project for this year which is 'The Minikin'.

'The Minikin' is actually a restoration project that I had gotten two years ago. It's renovation progress was meant to be aired on the Life & Style' TV Show on NET Tv presented by Charles Saliba. It was aired only once at the beginning but unfortunately due to the Covid-19 the show was stopped and never resumed.

  The Minikin is a (1:24) half scale dolls house which came to me in a very poor state but with lots of potential. It's my very first half scale dolls house so I am really excited about it. 

The tiny house came with broken windows and sunburn stains. It's floors and wall paper were in 1:12 scale and didn't have any interior doors or staircase.  The layout of the house is quite nice and unique and it contains four main rooms and two spacious rooms in the roof.  I have to say I am not sure if this dolls house was a kit or hand made, if so who made it built it very well. 

The first thing I did was basically strip the dolls house  papers and change the broken windows and door.

I added a dormer window to the room that was situated in the roof as I was sure it would have looked much better. 

I gave the house a new color in pastel green. I also found some amazing half scale embossed roof sheets and I have to say the house on the outside already looks fantastic. 

I have also designed and printed it's name plaque to be fixed on the wall.  For my first attempt, I have to say I did very well.

My Tiny Penny

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend. Today I wanted to share with you a little tot that arrived form Russia just a few days ago. 

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you Penny. 

 Penny is hand crocheted by Kristin Pavlova and she's identical to my very own sweet Penny. 

Tiny Penny is quite possible where she can turn hear head and even bend her legs. 

Penny also came with her own tiny toy. 

Tiny Penny will be staying in the DHE Museum and will be staying her in favorite spot in mummy's arms. 

My sweet Penny is a Pomchi. (Chihuahua cross Pomeranian). She will be turning 1 year on 21st January. From the three darlings Tina, Pixie and Penny, she is the one that is totally loyal and devoted to me. She is totally my shadow and I am so blessed to have her. 

She belongs to me but in reality I belong to her. 

So this is all for today. I can't wait to share with you my next new project 'The Minikin' so make sure to keep tuned.

New Beginnings for the Year 2022!

 Hello everyone,

Here we are in 2022! Hope you all had a great Christmas and had a good start for the new Year. Took a short break, but now I am all set to start from where I left off.  Just like the previous years, 2020 was another successful year for My Miniature World even with the Covid-19 restrictions. So much has happened that I don't even know from where to start. Before we continue with our adventures I always start the year with a run through of the past year and the new plans that I have in mind for the new one.

My Miniature World Blog has now 330 followers. From here I would like to welcome the new followers and I hope that you'll find it as interesting. Till the end of 2020 My Miniature World has reached over 555,100 views.

You can also find us on  My Miniature World Face Book Page  where just before the year ended we had reach over 22,400 Followers. You can also join My Miniature World Group on Face Book and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and  Pinterest.

My Miniature World Shop on Etsy has had another successful year where it has reached over 11,000 Sales and  our miniatures have reached over 50 different countries around the globe. Since October 2021 we have been ranked as Star Seller having a history of 5 star review and a great customer service. We offer over 665 miniatures in 1:12 scale and 1:24 scale. I would like to thank you all, my family, my dearest friends, clients, followers and fans for your constant support and encouragement. It means so much to me.

So here are the highlights of 2020. It has been another busy year.

January

Our Ambassadress for dolls Milly Collins arrived at My Miniature World. Can't believe that she has been here for a year already.

February

Finally the DHE Museum was completed after finding the last missing piece which was the Country Store

March

Article on Lovin' Malta about My Miniature World which was shared on Social Media. 

Invited for an interview on "Ilsien in-Nisa" TV Show on One Channel.

April

Introducing Mini Becks to My Miniatures World. A mini version of Myself and will be coming with her own stories eventually. 

May

The Arrival of the GeeBee Vintage Dolls House DH8 Tudor Cottage which will be renovated for the Mouse House. 

June

In June the beautiful Gottschalk arrived. Today sweet Posy and all her friends live in it.

July

The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn made it on Print on the DollsHouse World UK Magazine.

August

The Vintage HoneyChurch Victorian Shop arrived where today Miss Holly resides and has her on Christmas Shop. 

September

In September I got to go to the Dolls House, Miniatures, & Teddy Fair in Expo Houten in The Netherlands

Milly Collins was featured for the first time on Endora the Fashion Doll Magazine.

October

My Miniature World was featured on The government Magazine by the Ministry for Social Justice, Solidarity, The Family  and Children's Rights.

November

2021 My Miniature World celebrated 10 years of Blogging.

Le Chateau was finally complete in November 2021 after one year  and five months.

December

In December My Miniature World was featured on the TV Show 'Il-Kollezzjonist" on TVM Channel.

Holly's Christmas Shoppe was completed in time for Christmas.

Milly was once again featured on the Fashion Doll Magazine Endora for the Christmas Edition. 

What are we to expect this coming year?

This year we are celebrating our Silver Jubilee. I can't believe that it has been 25 years since the start of this wonderful journey with dollhouses and miniatures. 

This year we are going Vintage.

In the long run I will be renovating and decorating these vintage dolls houses. 

Minikin

I will start off the year with restoring  a 1:24 scale dolls house. It's my only 1:24 scale house so I am really looking forward to work on it. This project will be called "Minikin"
