Adding more Pieces to 'Cotton Tail' Cottage

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? It's been a while since my last post but I have added a bit more to my Easter Project, 'Cotton Tail' Cottage.

I had this blue furniture set which I had for years. It was the same furniture set that I had used for the Summer House Sea Shells when it was first built. After renovating the Summer House I have put it away and forgot all about it.

For this project it had fitted perfectly only that I didn't like it in blue considering that it's for Easter so I gave it a make over and painted it green. I also added a few extra furniture pieces and painted them in the same color to match.

I still need to add more accessories and decor to the room but so far it's looking great.

One of my favorite pieces that I made are the baby bunnies on a little tray. They are so cute and fit well in the scene.

In the corner underneath the window I have added a bed for the Easter Bunny. It has been painted, decorated and I made it's bedding.

On the bed you will find two miniature Bisque jointed Hertwig Bunnies made in Germany circa the early 1900's.

I think the Easter Bunny is very happy how this is turning out.

There is still so much to do but I have to say I am really happy with it's progress. Hopefully it will be all done before Easter,

So this is all for today. I hope you like what I have done so far. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

The Start of 'Cotton Tail' Cottage!

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are doing well. Today I have some exciting news to share. It has been a while since I have been inspired about this new project. It is not usual that while working on a project I get inspired by something else that I have to stop working on the current work to start off another one.

The good thing is that the new project 'Cotton Tail' Cottage started just in time for Easter.

Cotton Tail Cottage

The little house is a DHE kit called The Summer House but I intend to make it more of a Spring House and have decorated with an Easter Theme.

I started off by altering one of the side windows and painted the outside walls.

Once the walls were done I started working on the roof tiles. It took me a while to complete and once the tiles were done I painted them and gave them some weathering details. The roof is still not complete but it's looking good so far.

I altered the kit to have better access to the inside. The original built was suppose to just have a lift off roof with four fixed walls. What I did was hinged the roof and opened one of the wall sides.

This is house the 'Cotton Tail' Cottage looks like so far.

I also made and painted a wall plaque with the name of the cottage.

One of my favorite miniatures which will be part of this project is 'Cotton Tail' himself. The Easter Bunny.  Isn't he wonderful? He is a bisque antique early 1900's Hertwig doll. He has the perfect size for the project and he is fully jointed.

Well The Easter Bunny is definitely happy with the progress of his house. At the moment he is very busy preparing for Easter.

This is all for today. I hope you like what I have done so far. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates on Cotton Tail Cottage.

Take Care and See You Soon,

Pembroke Grange makes it on Print

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all?  Here we are again. Today I will be posting a very quick post. Last month Pembroke Grange was featured on the Dolls House World Magazine.

Pembroke Grange was inspired by the BBC series Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austin. You can find the article here: Pembroke was inspired by Pride & Prejudice

Here are some pictures of the interior.

A few weeks ago a new resident was added to Pembroke Grange. Mr. Darcy's best friend Mr. Bingley. He is really handsome and I am so glad that he was added to this project.

This is all for today. While working on the Minikin Project there is a good chance that we will be having an Easter Project  (fingers Crossed). So make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon,

Hugs,
