Adding more to the kitchen in Tudor Manor

Hello everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are having a great week. I am just thrilled. It has been a very busy week for me and I am really looking forward for Sunday. My Raquel has a very special day and I am doing my best to make it perfect.

Also Hopefully by the end of next week I will be sharing with you some good news that I have up my sleeve. Cross fingers everything will go as according and if so I will be having an extremely busy summer.

Before I continue I also wanted to let you know that on 15th June 2016 Moi Ali a book writer that also writes articles on the Dolls House Miniaturist Magazine will be releasing her new book called Dolls' Houses A History and Collector's Guide.

Coming back to My Miniature World. I have been working a bit slowly on the kitchen in The Tudor Manor. I have been busy.....what new?.... but I have lots to share with you.

1930's kitchen in Tudor Manor

 I have added some more to it and I am really pleased how it is turning out.

Instead of making one as planned, I finally managed to get one of these miniature 1930's washing machine. Even better I have found this vintage washing machine brand new in its' original box by the American Miniatures. I was very lucky to find it not only because it was new but even at a very good price.

Being such a small kitchen you have to be very careful what to add. Even the slightest accessory if not placed properly it would definitely look odd.

I am trying my hand at hand painting my own miniatures, or at least I have been having lessons from my father. I guess he is teaching me the trade. 

I have added a mincer, a 1920's spring scales, a few tinned food that I have labelled from the 1930's, the bread tin, the mop and bucket. I am really pleased how they turned out.

I still need to add more to the room but I think it looks just right.

 Lights will be added to the room and a few more details around the table. But I think it is looking good so far.
