J.R. Art Gallery featured on the American Miniaturist Magazine

Hello everyone,

Another weekend has gone by and here we are in the beginning of the month of May. I hope you all had a great weekend. Like always I have been busy working on my project and other miniature work. 

Today, for the month of May, I am really proud to say that J.R. Art Gallery is featured on May's issue of the American Miniaturist magazine.

After the Interview by The Dolls House Emporium back in November 2017, J.R. Art Gallery had a five page article written by Deb Weissler. 

I'm very pleased with the article and pictures, and Deb Weissler got to bring out some interesting details about the gallery. Here is the link for those who would like to read the  full article A Gallery Full of Miniature Art.

Going through the article it brought back some sweet memories, especially how it all began, the inspiration, adding all the paintings and obviously all the details.

From here once again I would like to thank my dear friend and fellow Miniaturist artist José Pereira Torrejón for the four lovely miniature paintings that he painted for me, which have inspired me to do J.R. In the article it was surprising that Deb Weissler took in every tiny detail in account. 

Quote: "J.R, resides in the spacious apartment upstairs. A fireplace, an iron bed, and tables where the artist paints fill every nook and cranny. Feminine touches and a child's teddy bear propped on the bed provide hints at who shares this warm and inviting space."

Indeed they are just hints; but lately at J.R. Art Gallery there was a special guest. A young girl called Heather. She has been residing with Mr. Rookie for quite some time. Down in Regent Street everyone has been asking around who she was. Could she be the artist's daughter? There is some resemblance. Maybe a Niece? Who knows!! Here is Heather. 

Heather is another doll made by doll artist Beverly Senatore. Thank you Beverly for the lovely dolls that give life to my projects. I call Heather "My sleeping girl" for she is always asleep. 

Hope you have found the article interesting. I have to admit J.R. Art Gallery will always hold a special place in my heart.
