Jane's Birthday and introducing the New Residents

Hello Everyone,

Today a very quick post as we are celebrating a very special day. Today we are celebrating Jane Austen's 244th Birthday. On 16th December 1775 Jane Austen was born in Hampshire, England.

As most of you know Jane Austen is my favorite British Novelties and my Pembroke Grange is inspired by one of her books 'Pride & Prejudice'. Actually the outside reminds me a lot of the Bennet's House 'Longbourn' from the BBC 1995 TV series Pride & Prejudice.

This is the first year that my Jane Austen doll will be celebrating her birthday at Pembroke Grange together with the new residents of the house.

The New residents of Pembroke Grange are actually two of Jane's Characters in Pride & Prejudice; Miss Elisabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. The dolls are made by the amazing doll maker Beverley Senatore. Actually Mr. Darcy is indeed a look-a-like of the actor Colin Firth who played the role of Mr. Darcy in the 1995 TV series. I have to say he is the best actor for the role.

To celebrate Jane Austen's Birthday I will be giving out a free give-away. A miniature framed oval printed canvas of Jane Austen.

1) Be or Become a follower of My Miniature World Blog.

Happy Birthday Jane Austen and thank you for your wonderful legacy that you left for everyone to enjoy through your novels.

So this is all for today. Keep tuned for the next updates.

I think I began reading one of Jane Austin's books years ago but never finished. She definitely was a most talented writer and her books remain popular to this day. That is a true legacy.
