The Circus and The Punch & Judy Theater

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all well and keeping safe. Finally another weekend! Hopefully I will continue working of the last bits of Pembroke Grange before starting my new project.

Today I wanted to share with you something that I worked on during this week. They are actually two separate projects; The Circus and The Punch & Judy Theater.

My amazing father still paints my wonderful miniatures. He really impresses me! Such tiny little things and he paints them with such detail and precision.

Lately he has painted for me a set of Circus Clowns, 2 monkeys on a sew-saw and a Sea-Lion on a Ball.

I was so happy with this set that I decided to make a small shadow box using a small crate that I had.

I added some curtains and printed a circus backdrop for the box and they fitted in so nicely.

These will soon be available to purchase online from my Etsy shop.

Another lovely set that he painted for me which I totally adore are the Punch & Judy nursery set.

I am so happy with this set. I always found Punch & Judy funny even as a little Becky. I wanted so badly to have a theater just for them that I decided to make one for myself with a seaside back scene.

I am very sure that this will be used in one of my future projects in a nursery somewhere.

In this set you find Punch, Judy, The Baby, Toby (Punch's Dog), The Constable and The Crocodile.  These are already available from My Miniature World Shop at Etsy.

A BIG Thank You! goes to my wonderful father. I don't have words to thank him enough. I have to say I am very lucky to have him. We always shared a special bond and even better we got to share part of our hobby together.

Hope you like them. I can't wait to share with you the finale of Pembroke Grange, so make sure to keep an eye out for the next update.

Take Care, Be Safe and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca xxx

  4. Nice to see Punch and Judy in the Netherlands we call them Jan Klaassen and Katrein, a month before Corona there was a open air market here close by and there was an old fashion theatre there were a lot of people to see Punch and Judy performing and they had a lot of fun and hear them laugh... How strange it is now...
But have fun with your couple!
    groetjes van Marijke
