Hello Everyone,
"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "
After yesterday's visit to Mister Rookie at the J.R. Art Gallery, Miss Holly was all set to visit Miss Heather who happens to be a relative to the artist. She had worked all night to prepare something special for the little girl.
Late in the afternoon she walked back to Mister Rookies place, went up the narrow staircase and knocked gently on the door.
No one came to the door and no sound came from the inside. Miss Holly called Heather's name and knocked once again. The door opened ajar with the second knock. The door mustn't have been closed as it should. Miss Holly pushed slightly at the door and called for Heather once again, but no answer came.
She entered into the room to make sure that nothing happened to the little girl and to her surprise she found Heather sleeping on the bed. Poor Heather must have gotten tired playing and singing during the day and just fell asleep on the bed with her teddy. The sweet little girl was lost to the world.
Miss Holly walked to the bed and she couldn't bare to wake Heather up so she decided to leave the lace Christmas Tree that she made for her next to her doll on the chair.
Miss Holly thought it would be nice if Heather would find the Christmas tree there waiting for her as soon as she wakes up. Just as Miss Holly was about to leave, Heather sprang out from the bed and was squeaking with glee when she saw the cute Christmas tree on the chair, without giving any notice to the lovely lady in the room.
Miss Heather was so happy with the little lace tree as she was worried that Father Christmas wouldn't leave any gifts if she didn't have a tree. She was sure that if he didn't find a Christmas tree where to put the presents under, she wouldn't get what she asked for. Miss Holly giggled at the child's thoughts and she told Heather that the Christmas tree now belonged to her. Heather was so excited that she jumped into Miss Holly's arms to give her a warm hug. The little girl was so thankful for Miss Holly's gift that she didn't want her to leave.
Miss Holly spent a few more minutes next to Heather and had a girly talk. Poor Heather looked so lonely but at the same time she was content with the little that she had.
Little Heather told her that at the moment she didn't have anyone to play with because her friend Ben was feeling poorly again. She told her that Ben was her only friend but during the winter days he got ill very often. Heather asked her if she would be so kind to visit Ben and make him feel better. She told Miss Holly that Ben didn't live far, that he lived in the building just above Mrs Pierce's Apothecary.
Miss Holly smiled back and promised Heather that she would be visiting little Ben the next day if it pleased her. Heather couldn't be happier and told her to tell Ben that she was thinking of him and couldn't wait to meet him again.
This is all for today. Tomorrow Ms Holly will be visiting Master Ben as she promised. Keep tuned for the 7th Day of Christmas.Take Care and See You Soon.
Hugs,
Rebecca xxx
