The Completion of the Artist's Private Quarters - J.R. Art Gallery

Hello everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are having a good week and that you have enjoyed trick or treating.  Before sharing what I have been up to during the past week I wanted to welcome the new followers both on the blog and G+. A Big Welcome to All!

So the winner for the Free Give Away is Denise Cole. Congratulations Denise! Please send me a private message with your details so I can post if off to you. I wanted to thank all those who participated and I'm pretty sure I will be having more give aways in the near future.

I am pleased to say that The Artist's Private Quarters is complete with nothing more to add.

The Artist's Private Quarters
Before I wanted to continue decorating the last few items to the room, I wanted to finish the room's skirting and the cornice at the ceiling. It took me a while to measure and cut due to the fire surround and the built in wardrobe. When you see the end results, you realize how worthy the struggle was.

When that was ready I started once again adding the pieces and also made a few changes.

One of the things that I wasn't happy with, was the shelf on top of the desk. The items looked to big so I changed everything and just left the statue of the Holy Mary. I have made a few books with the artist's favorite titles, made a few miniature candles with polymer clay and painted a miniature locomotive.

Once again my dearest friend José Pereira Torrejón sent me another lovely painting for this room.  This one is called "The Unfinished Ballerina". Another master piece with lovely colors and touches. The details are amazing even if it is an unfinished painting.  Thank you my dearest José for this lovely painting and for the other 3 masterpieces. You have made this project more special with your unique art and talent. Thank you xxx

Next to the painting I have added the pot of orchids and gave it a bit more detail.

Finally I got to make the curtains with the valances. Very pleased with my handy work and they matched the room quite well.

I added a few more details to the room until I was quite happy with it.

Here are a few photos of the complete room.

I hope you like the room. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Keep tuned for the next update on J.R. Art Gallery as it will be the final post on this project. I'm really excited about it and  quite overwhelmed.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca xxxx
