The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn makes it in Print!

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are having a great week. As some of you may have already noticed 'The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn' made it in print on the latest issue 342 of the DollsHouse World UK Magazine for the month of July. A big thank you goes to Sandra Harding for such a wonderful article.

I can't believe that it has been  almost three years since I built the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn. It is very special to me and having it featured makes me very proud.

As much I was happy to see it featured, I am quite sure that this has also put a smile on my father's face.

For those who haven't seen the article yet, here you can find a link to it;  Rebecca's pub pays tribute to her swordsman Father.

Here are a few pictures that have been featured in the article.

Also in the magazine one of the paintings that inspired me to make our lovely Susanna the barmaid was also  featured in this issue.

'A Bar at the Folies-Bergère was painted and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1882, is considered the last major work of French painter Èdouard Manet.

This is all for today. I hope you will enjoy the article. I can't wait to share with you my progress on my ongoing project, so make sure to keep tuned.

Take Care and See You Soon.

12th Day of Christmas - Visiting The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Today is Christmas Eve and Miss Holly was quite busy in these past few days. Today is also her last visit to Regent Street and she left it for The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

When she first arrived to Regent Street, The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn was her first home.  The Barrett's had welcomed Miss Holly thanks to the promised engagement Miss Leah and Sir Edwin have. They welcomed her as part of the family and Miss Holly lived with them for months until she moved to her own home.

The anticipation for Christmas could be felt today in Regent Street. The street was busy with people greeting each other with smiles and best wishes.  Miss Holly had made Eggnog for the pub so it could be served for Christmas.

The pub was quite full of the regulars when she arrived and she was welcomed immediately by Sir Edwin himself. He was so happy to see her. Miss Leah had already informed him that Miss Holly would visit at some point but he never thought that she would have come on Christmas Eve.

Miss Holly presented her home made Eggnog  and Sir Edwin was more than pleased to have it served to his clients on the day.

Miss Holly took her eggnog to Mr. Larkin to open the bottles. and Susanna served every table with the delicious Christmas drink.

The gentlemen loved the eggnog and praised Miss Holly for it.

Everyone wished her a Merry Christmas and were so thankful to her for giving so much of her time and goodness.

Just before leaving the pub she couldn't resist not visiting Sir Edwin's mother, Madam Barrett.  The elderly lady couldn't be more happy to see her and Miss Holly spent most of her afternoon with her. It felt like home and she couldn't be more happy to spend Christmas Eve with her.

And our Twelve Days of Christmas are complete. Miss Holly has done a fine job in spreading the Christmas cheer around Regent Street.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Very Merry Christmas.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! This year My Miniature World will be celebrating it's very first Valentine's Day since it's opening. Frankly I am not the type of person that celebrates Valentine's Day for the simple reason I believe that love should be celebrated everyday throughout the year.

In Regent Street we have a few couples that made it official. I am sure that romance will blossom more eventually.

Finally Sir Edwin Barrett and Miss Leah have officially declared themselves as a couple.

Miss Leah and Sir Edwin Barrett
Miss Leah's older sister Miss Quelina has been seeing Mr. Edgard Hevey. Quite a cute couple.

Mr Edgard Hervey and Miss Quelina
My favorite couple in Regent Street are the two love birds in The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn. The Bar tender Larkin and the sweet barmaid Susanna. Larkin has proposed to Susanna on the day.

Apart from Regent Street, My Miniature World has a new couple. I am so looking forward to start the new project of Pembroke Grange, even if for the time being it is on hold. Her is Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

The two dolls have been dressed up in Regency Style and Mr. Darcy is the splitting image of Colin Firth in Pride & Prejudice.

A big thank you goes to my favorite doll maker Beverly Senatore who makes my lovely dolls. Thank you Beverly for making my projects more alive.

Wishing you lots of love and warm hugs.

See you soon!

Celebrating the New Year at The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn

Hello Everyone,

Tonight down at Regent Street there's a New Year's Celebration. Mr. Edwin Barret wanted to throw a party marking the first welcoming of the New Year in Regent Street.

Sir Edwin invited most of the gentlemen that visit the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn on regular bases. His best friend Edgar was there like always at his table. Mr. Fletcher decided to join the men and found an empty seat near Edgar.

Mr. Joseph Rookie from J.R. Art Gallery decided to join in. Miss Reeva  offered to look after Heather for the night as she didn't have any plans of her own. A girl's night would be great. She wanted to have a tea party with yummy cakes that she got from Manuel at the Coffee Corner. He made special cakes just for little Heather.

Mr John Corbett, the jolly gentleman decided to join Mr Rookie for the evening, Like always he had so much to say.

Sir Edwin, tried to keep up with all his guests thanks to his staff. Finally he sat with Mr. Ivor discussing business over a pack of playing cards.

Madam Barrett had plans of her own. She invited the ladies to her parlour. Her daughter Miss Roslyn helped her to organize the evening. Mrs. Perkins, the guest at the inn joined in with the ladies. Miss Leah from Miss Leah's Boutique was invited and also her older sister Quelina from Matquel's Antiques & China Shop.  Miss Ella came along and felt very welcomed to be part of the friendly neighborhood of Regent Street.

The ladies enjoyed gossiping and played all sorts of games until the time came to join the men and welcome the New Year together.

I want to wish you and your loved ones a
Very Happy New Year 2019

Have to run now and dress up for the evening. I don't want to miss the Party at the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

Will keep you updated with the run through of 2018 and what's to be expected for 2019.

Take Care and See You Soon,

Hugs,

A New Guest at The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn

Hello Everyone.

Another week has gone by.  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Today it's been quite stormy here and so I decided to stay indoors. It's been raining constantly and it got colder too. Before I start I want to welcome the new followers to the blog! Welcome!

Today I wanted to share with a new guest that just arrived at The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

A young lady walked into the pub late this afternoon. Most of the gentlemen fixed their eyes on the young species walking in among them. The regular clients have never seen her before. For starters, it was uncommon for a refined lady such as herself to walk into the pub, unaccompanied. And not to mention her beauty and her scarlet red hair.

The young lady walked among them, not bothered by the stares that she got. She walked silently to the fire place and spent a few minutes looking at the portrait of the Master himself in a very loving way.

The men talked under their breath among themselves; asking who she was and what business brings her to the pub. She knew too well that they spoke about her. With the last glance at the portrait she went up the stairs towards the Parlour.

She could hear a gentleman talking and the soothing voice of the lady she was seeking.

"Mother, I'm back!"

"My sweet girl Roslyn!" The young lady ran to Madam Barrett and embraced her.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Miss Roslyn Barrett.

There are quite a few rumors about Roslyn. Who is Roslyn? Where does she come from? She is rarely seen? A few say that she is indeed the daughter of the Master Swordsman and Madam Barrett. but how could it be? She was too young to be their daughter. Some say that she was found by the couple and raised her as their own. After all she does carry the Barrett's name.  Indeed she was their daughter; if not by flesh and blood, definitely in respect and love. She loved both her parents and they loved her. Even though she was scarcely out in the public eye, Roslyn tended to keep to herself and travel. She didn't take her father's passing lightly so she needed sometime to be alone.

Mr. Fletcher Oaks was quite taken by her and Madam Barrett could see that.

Miss Roslyn still missed who she held dear to her but was ready to move on. Even though he was not with her in the flesh, she kept him in her heart.

Miss Roslyn Barrett is another lovely doll made by my dear friend and favorite doll maker Beverly Senatore. She was meant to be part of the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

I hope you like the new guest and the additional story to the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

Keep tuned for the next update on The Traditional Dolls House.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Concluding The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn - A Tribute to a Loving Father.

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend. My good old friend Summer said goodbye and once again we're back in Fall. Today we will also be closing the curtains and saying goodbye to The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn now stands proudly in Regent Street between Miss Leah's and The Coffee Corner. It took me eight months to complete. It always gets overwhelming when I finish a project especially when it takes months to finish.

I'm very happy how it turned out. I can actually say it turned out even better than I expected. Every room has a special feature, that draws one's attention.

Turning on the lights of the project makes it look magical and more real. Sometimes I wish I could shrink and walk among the dolls and roam around the rooms.

Here are a few pictures of the lit rooms.

I also got to take some photos of the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn among the other shops in Regent Street in the dark with their lights on. I can spend hours looking at them.

I know I am sharing its completion now but The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn was done and ready a day before the launch of My Miniature World. I had to do my best to make sure that this was complete before the big event and for a very good reason. The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn wasn't really seen by anyone before and it was special to have it shown for the first time in the Launch.

The opening of The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn during the Launch

What made it even more special to have it ready before, was that my father got to see it for the first time complete during the Launch itself. I could say that he was very happy and very proud. To have him there standing in awe before it, only made me realize how strong the bond between us is. He loved every detail.  I couldn't be more happy to have this project as a tribute to him. He has always been by my side in every circumstance; being as a child, as a teen, as a young lady and even now as a woman and a mother. We still work together and he still helps me with my miniatures so the least I could do was this, a project based on his own passion.

My father the Master Swordsman and I

From here I would like to thank my father for always being there for me. Thank you paps!

So that's a Wrap Up!

I will be working on two dolls house projects now. One of them is for my little girl whom I have promised her a dolls house of her own which she will be decorating herself. The other one is Pembroke Grange which will have a Regency period style. Make sure to keep tuned for the beginning of the new projects.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca xxxx
