6th Day of Christmas - Visiting Sleepy Heather

  Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

After yesterday's visit to Mister Rookie at the J.R. Art Gallery, Miss Holly was all set to visit Miss Heather who happens to be a relative to the artist. She had worked all night to prepare something special for the little girl.

Late in the afternoon she walked back to Mister Rookies place, went up the narrow staircase and knocked gently on the door.

No one came to the door and no sound came from the inside. Miss Holly called Heather's name and knocked once again. The door opened ajar with the second knock. The door mustn't have been closed as it should. Miss Holly pushed slightly at the door and called for Heather once again, but no answer came.

She entered into the room to make sure that nothing happened to the little girl and to her surprise she found Heather sleeping on the bed.  Poor Heather must have gotten tired playing and singing during the day and just fell asleep on the bed with her teddy. The sweet little girl was lost to the world.

Miss Holly walked to the bed and she couldn't bare to wake Heather up so she decided to leave the lace Christmas Tree that she made for her next to her doll on the chair.

Miss Holly thought it would be nice if Heather would find the Christmas tree there waiting for her as soon as she wakes up.  Just as Miss Holly was about to leave, Heather sprang out from the bed and was squeaking with glee when she saw the cute Christmas tree on the chair, without giving any notice to the lovely lady in the room

Miss Heather was so happy with the little lace tree as she was worried that Father Christmas wouldn't leave any gifts if she didn't have a tree. She was sure that if he didn't find a Christmas tree where to put the presents under, she wouldn't get what she asked for. Miss Holly giggled at the child's thoughts and she told Heather that the Christmas tree now belonged to her. Heather was so excited that she jumped into Miss Holly's arms to give her a warm hug. The little girl was so thankful for Miss Holly's gift that she didn't want her to leave.

Miss Holly spent a few more minutes next to Heather and had a girly talk. Poor Heather looked so lonely but at the same time she was content with the little that she had.

Little Heather told her that at the moment she didn't have anyone to play with because her friend Ben was feeling poorly again. She told her that Ben was her only friend but during the winter days he got ill very often. Heather asked her if she would be so kind to visit Ben and make him feel better. She  told Miss Holly that Ben  didn't live far, that he lived in the building just above Mrs Pierce's Apothecary.

Miss Holly smiled back and promised Heather that she would be visiting little Ben the next day if it pleased her. Heather couldn't be happier and told her to tell Ben that she was thinking of him and couldn't wait to meet him again.

This is all for today. Tomorrow Ms Holly will be visiting Master Ben as she promised.  Keep tuned for the 7th Day of Christmas.

Take Care and See You Soon.

5th Day of Christmas - Visiting J.R. Art Gallery

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Today Miss Holly was all set to visit the gallery that was set right in the beginning of Regent Street; J.R. Art Gallery. She was always fascinated with the eye catching paintings that the gallery possessed. The paintings were painted by various artists and some were also painted by Mr. Rookie himself.

In the past few days when she walked by the gallery she noticed that there was no paintings in any relation with Christmas.

Ms. Holly had the right painting to fit the gallery with a true meaning of Christmas. Any artist with an eye for detail would see right through it she thought.

She made her way to the shop with the bulky painting at hand.

Mister Rookie was so surprised to see Miss Holly with a painting. Although she had visited the gallery a few times with great interest to art, he would have never imagined her to have any interest in the trading of paintings.

She walked slowly to the counter with the painting and asked Mr. Rookie if he would be interest in this particular painting.

Mr. Rookie was very intrigued with the painting. He took the painting gently from Ms. Holly's poor hands and placed it on the counter to examine it for himself.

The painting was beautiful. It had two small poor children sleeping in the same bed. The room looked like an attic, with a small cross hanging from the wall. The bed blankets were torn and the children didn't have much warm clothing but still looked content.  To the left of the bed there was a frail looking Christmas Tree that seemed to be standing what looked like some sort of a bed side table. He asked Miss Holly from where she acquired such a piece.

She told him that the painting was called 'Christmas Morning' painted by the German artist Agathe Röstel.  Mr. Rookie studied the painting further and by the end of his thoroughly examination he had tears in his eyes.

He placed the painting on an easel, turned to Miss Holly and asked her for the price. She looked puzzled and told him that it was a gift. She told him what her intentions were for this Christmas and told him that the painting would give the gallery that special touch.

He was impressed with Miss Holly's kind intention. He promised her that he would never trade the painting to anyone and that it will remain in the gallery, part of his own collection. Through the painting he could see the true meaning of Christmas. No matter how little one can have. No matter how insignificant one life can seem, you can still be content and happy if you believe in the Wonder of Christmas.

They gave their best wishes to each other and just before Miss Holly left the gallery, she could hear a little girl singing a Christmas carol. She turned to see from where the singing was coming from. Mr. Rookie only smiled back and told her that it was little Heather singing to her dolls from the room above.  Miss Holly nodded and said her farewells knowing that the next day she will be visiting little Heather.

This is all for today, keep tuned for tomorrow's 6th Day of Christmas.

Take Care and See You Soon.

4th Day of Christmas - Visiting Miss Leah's Boutique

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Miss Holly today was really excited. Today she was visiting Miss Leah at her Boutique. The ladies have been friends since they were little girls. Holly was two years her senior and spent most of their time together. Growing up, both the girls were thought by Madam De France how to design and sew gowns and clothing. Years passed and young Leah had left for Regent Street to join her siblings in the family business. Holly missed her best friend dearly and after a couple of years she moved also to Regent Street.

Holly prepared something special for Leah. When they were younger they had designed a bonnet together but it never materialized. So Holly spend the night before working the magic to make this special bonnet for Leah.

It was getting late in the evening and Miss Holly made her way to the boutique. Miss Leah's Boutique still had a client or two which was not surprising considering the lovely gowns and lady's accessories that it offered. The second Holly stepped into the shop she was greeted by her dearest friend with a smile and a warm hug. Both the ladies were very happy to see each other.

Once the last client left the shop, Leah closed the boutique for the day so she could spend some time with her dear friend. Holly handed over a hat box to Leah and with an exciting smile she asked her dear friend to open it.

Leah was very curious to see what was in the hat box and once opened, so very unexpected, she found the beautiful Christmas Bonnet that was once designed by both of them.

Miss Leah recognized it immediately. It brought tears to her eyes. Miss Holly had done such an amazing job on the bonnet. She fetched a hat stand so she could display the masterpiece on her counter. She couldn't be more proud of Holly and thanked her for such a lovely gift.

Holly was so happy that Leah loved it. It looked wonderful on the shop counter. The red Christmas bonnet did the trick and gave the shop a touch of Christmas.

The ladies spent the evening in each other's company at the boutique, going through lady's accessories, sipping tea and reminiscing of when they were young girls.

This is all for today until the next time. Keep tuned for the next Twelve Days of Christmas at Regent Street.

Take Care and See You Soon.

3rd Day of Christmas - Visiting The Dickens Book Shop

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

One of Miss Holly's favorite pastime is visiting the well stocked Library in Regent Street, 'The Dickens Book Shop". The lady loves reading books.  Every Saturday her first stop of the day would be at the library to exchange her books for something that she never read. Thankfully the librarian Mister Henry Dickens adds new books to the shelves on regular basis.

Today was no exception, Miss Holly was all set to visit her favorite Library and Book Shop, only that today she wanted to add something new to the shelves herself. She looked for her two favorite Christmas Books in her old trunk that she had. She lost count of how many times she read these books over and over again, that she could recite the entire books without missing any words.

Mister Henry Dickens greeted Miss Holly with a smile while doing some paper work at his desk. Miss Holly returned the borrowed books and gave the librarian her two Christmas books one called 'Christmas Morning' and the other one called 'Robin's Christmas Eve'.

She explained to Mister Dickens that she wanted to add these two books to the library for Christmas so the community can enjoy them as much as she did and maybe through the books she could bring happiness to those who read them.

Henry was so impressed with the kind gesture of Miss Holly. He always knew that she was special in a certain way, only that today she had proven it. She was always polite when visiting and returned the books on time and in the same condition that they were given. There were occasions that the books were also returned in a much better state than they were before.

Mister Dickens  was delighted with these two Christmas Books. They had beautiful illustrations and what surprised him even further was that he never came across these book titles before. He lead Miss Holly to the bookcase and gave her the honor to put the books on the shelf herself. Miss Holly blushed but was so grateful for the opportunity. Carefully she chose a partially empty shelf and one by one she slid the books in their new rightful place.

Mister Dickens thanked Miss Holly profoundly and told her that she was always welcome to the book shop and that if she ever was in need of help, his doors were always opened to her. They said their farewells and parted their ways until the next time they meet.

So this is all for today, make sure to keep tuned for the next Days of Christmas at Regent Street.

Take Care and See You Soon,

2nd Day of Christmas - Visiting the Cures & Remedies Apothecary

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Miss Holly even though in high spirits, unfortunately got a nasty cold. Winter was taking it's toll and rained constantly. Miss Holly was feeling a bit under the weather. All she needed to do was take hot drinks and maybe have one of those famous remedies that only Mrs. Pierce could come up with.

Mrs. Pierce was such a kind hearted soul and helped so many people in the past 20 years that Miss Holly could never be grateful enough to her. As Mrs. Pierce had a great interest in plants, herbs and botanics, Miss Holly got her a Poinsettia plant so she can keep in the shop during Christmas time.

Early in the morning Miss Holly went to visit Mrs. Pierce at the Apothecary and thankfully to her, it wasn't as busy.

Miss Holly got to pick the best Poinsettia pot that she had from her own growing plants.

Mrs. Pierce was so surprised when she saw Miss Holly so early in the morning.  With a big smile she asked her if she could be of service to the young lady and Miss Holly asked politely if a remedy could be given to relief her from this nasty cold.

Mrs. Pierce was quick with her remedy methods and prepared a special tea that Ms Holly can brew at home. Miss Holly had no doubt that she would be feeling better with that and gave Mrs. Pierce the Poinsettia.

Mrs Pierce was delighted with the pot and the kind gesture of Miss Holly. It added some color and not to mention a little bit of Christmas cheer to the shop.

Mrs. Pierce put the blooming Poinsettia in the window shop for everyone to see. She couldn't be more happy and touched with Miss Holly's surprise.

So this is all for today.

Coming soon the 3rd Day of Christmas at Regent Street so keep tuned.

Take Care and See You Soon.

1st Day of Christmas - Visiting Little Angel's Toy Shop

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Miss Holly, born on Christmas Day, a mysterious young lady who believes in the magic of Christmas. Since a little girl she always believed in the wonder and joy Christmas can bring to others. As she moved to Regent Street looking for prosper and good fortune she wasn't as lucky as she hoped for, but during this time of year she wanted to share the little that she had with the good people of the community.

Her first visit was to the sweet little shop called the Little Angel's Toy Shop. A shop that Miss Holly enjoyed peeking through the window to see all the cute little dolls and toys.

Miss Holly had a Father Christmas doll that she thought would find a better home in the toy shop with the other dolls that Mrs. Ella had.

Very proudly Miss Holly presented her Father Christmas doll to Mrs. Ella as she handed him over knowing to well that he would be much happier here.

Mrs. Ella was so happy to have this gorgeous doll. She promised Miss Holly that he would be looked after and be placed in a prominent place for others to enjoy. She invited Miss Holly to come to the shop whenever she wanted even for a chat. Miss Holly was so thrilled to have made the acquaintance with the kind Mrs. Ella.

Father Christmas has such a cute face, with his white beard and rosy cheeks. Now he stands proudly among the other toys in Little Angel's Toy Shop.

Both Miss Holly and Mrs Ella were happy and cheerful thanks to the little Father Christmas doll.

So this is all for today.

Make sure to keep tuned for the next Days of Christmas in Regent Street.

Take Care and See You Soon.
