Hello my dear friends,
Hope you are all well and enjoying your summer. We had a great weekend here. It has been very hot but in the evening it tends to cool down. Still with the heat and all I still love summer best. Somehow I feel healthy.
It has been a year since we started My Miniature World Group on Facebook and I am very happy to say that we have over 350 members. It is just great to meet so many friendly, like minded people that enjoy sharing the dolls house hobby.
This week for a change, I indulged myself to some polymer clay miniatures. It has been a while since I done any and it was fun to go back to it. I thought I had lost the touch of it all but I guess when you create something that you enjoy doing it doesn't leave you that easily.
I made some miniatures for Miss Leah's new home as now is the time to start filling it with accessories and adding detail to the rooms. It seems that Miss Leah is preparing a tea party to celebrate her new home.

So I had the lovely ceramic tea set which I had gotten from the Dolls House Emporium. It is quite pretty but I wanted to add to it to make look more realistic. The first that I started was filling the tea cups and milk. For these I used liquid polymer clay. With the tea cups I have managed to make two very tiny tea bags which I made from a real tea bag and made butter biscuits.

As Miss Leah is set in the Victorian era, the famous scones with jam on the side were a must. So I made a platter with scones on the tray. I also filled a little bowl with jam mix and I set a small side plate with an opened scone with jam.

To add more variety to the platter, I made some jam tarts which also were quite common in the Victorian period.

Then I also made the famous English Strawberry sponge which also was highly recommended during that time. I highly doubt that there wasn't a tea party without this sponge.

What is tea time without a couple of sandwiches? So there again I made a couple of sandwiches with lettuce, cheese and ham.
Sandwiches |
My, My now that is quite a lovely tea party. I hope Miss Leah gets to invite me someday.

As sandwiches where involved in the making. I also made half a loaf of bread with a cut slice lying on a wooden chopping board. a bread knife and a package of butter.

Sometimes at the end of a tea party even fruit is offered. So I also made this bowl with fruit. The ceramic bowl is one of my minis that I decorate then I filled it with my own fruit that I made with polymer clay. I never did grapes before so I am really pleased how these turned out. Quite happy actually.

So this what I have done so far. The rooms are getting along nicely and just in a week or two I will start working on my new project.
So this is how the setting of the room looks like with the new miniatures.
I hope you liked my new miniature creations. There is still so much that I still need to add. Miss Leah is really excited to move in her new home.
New updates are coming up soon so keep tuned for the next installment. Take Care and Hope to see you real soon.
Hugs,
Rebecca xxx
