The Master Bedroom in Pembroke Grange

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are all safe and that you are well. The world is going through a very rough time at the moment but I am sure that we will pull it through at the end. Like I always say after a storm there is always a rainbow, so I am looking forward to that. Thank goodness being indoors is quite beneficial especially when it comes to My Miniature World. I don't mind it one bit!

During this weekend I got to work a bit more on my ongoing project 'Pembroke Grange' and today I will be sharing with you the Master Bedroom.

The Master Bedroom
All of the items had to be worked on or made which I totally enjoyed doing. The first thing I started to work on was the bed canopy crown which was hand made by me using, cardboard, polymer clay and my 3D printer.

Once that was ready I added the curtains with the same fabric that I was going to use for the bedding. I also printed a new carpet using velvet paper.

The room was all ready to be decorated finally with a few pieces of furniture that I purchased in bare-wood. The first piece that I started working on was the bed. I wanted to make sure that it would fit in the room with the other pieces that I intended to use.

Then I painted the dressing table to match with the room and other furniture pieces.

I printed a few picture frames with my 3D printer and decorated them with regency painting prints for the room.

Next to the bed I added two bedside tables.

I am quite happy how the furniture pieces and decor fitted together.

Another piece that I was excited to work on, was the armoire. It took me a while to paint and find the right pictures but as you can see every second spent was worth it.

The last piece to be added was the bed end bench.

Here are a few pictures of the decorated room.

There are still a few more accessories that I would like to add to the room but on the whole I am very happy with it.

So this is all for today I hope you like what I have done to this room. Will be working further on this project so make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

See you Soon.

Take Care and Be Safe.

Back to the Dolls House Nederland Show

Hello Everyone,

Here I am again. Hope everyone is in good health and keeping safe.  It's been a week since I came back from The Nederlands and I wanted to share with you the nice goodies that I got. Thank goodness I had quite a lot of extra space in my luggage to add my dolls house goodies.

On my arrival in Amsterdam, I went to Gouda to visit 'Het Kabinet' or in English 'The Cabinet'. A beautiful dolls house shop that you get to find whatever you need for dolls houses. I also had the opportunity to meet a few ladies and talk to them about My Miniature World during a Work Shop.  You can visit their site 'The Cabinet'

From The Cabinet I did get a few goodies:

Some fabric and lace trimmings which I will be using for Pembroke Grange.

A few dolls house accessories which some are for little Leah.

A few pieces of furniture that were given to me by a dear friend. I can't wait to paint and decorate them for a project that I have been thinking about for quite some time.

The next day Posy and I were all set to go to Arnhem to visit the international dolls house fair called 'The Dolls House Nederland Show'.  It was amazing! Lots of artisan miniatures to see and buy. I got to meet and talk with some talented artists. There were also a few workshops offered by well known artists.

I was all prepared this time to come with a full luggage.

A 1:48 scale kit which are dolls house Bookends and a miniature 1:144 dolls house kits by Uk's Petite Properties.

A few 1:24 scale furniture kits from Melissa's Laserville.

I also got to meet the amazing artist Mr. Han Goergen who gifted me with a carved 1:12 scale toy horse. I totally loved it! I also got the cute miniature Book Stand. I think Mr. Dickens would like that in his library.

From Janny's Art of Mini I got some white metal figurines to paint.

And finally, the baby doll, a pretty doll and figurine with a little girl feeding her doll by the Spanish Artist Victoria Heredia Guerbo. These have to be my favorite. They are so tiny and so fragile. The Dolls legs and arms actually do move.

Even though it wasn't crowded due to the Coronavirus, it was an amazing experience and Posy and I enjoyed being there.

For those who are wondering what we have been doing, since our arrival, Posy and I are in self-quarantine and we have been busy working on miniatures and on the dolls house projects. There is no way that we will ever get bored here.

So this is all for today. I hope you like my new goodies. I will be posting soon with some new updates on my dolls house projects. Make sure to keep tuned.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Part 3 - Decorating 'The Patient' and Completing the Project on 'Life & Style'

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you are all well. It has been a while since I updated my blog. I was quite busy before travelling to the Dolls House Nederland Show in Arnhem. But here I am again among my miniatures and today I will be sharing with you the last part of 'The Patient' project which completes the whole project. I have shared this a few weeks ago on the 'Life & Style' TV Show on the Maltese Channel NET TV.

The Patient
The room was quite ready to start being decorated. I had added all the trimmings against the wall with the new fireplace and now it was time for the furniture pieces and accessories.

I have worked on the wardrobe and as it was a little boy's room I kept to the theme with the galleons.

Apart from the wardrobe I also added the washstand table which has delft blue tiles and added a few accessories accordingly.

Master Ben had his cast iron bed, built and decorated to keep him warm and comfortable.

A few toys were added which have been hand painted by my dad.

The day came that I took the project and shared it on the show with the presenter Charles Saliba.

You can see the clips from my You Tube Channel or below.

Here are a few photos of the project 'The Patient'

As most of you know 'The Patient' project is part of 'The Physician' and the 'Cures & Remedies Apothecary' which now is complete and will be part of my Regent Street.

Hope you like what I have done with this project. I have to say I am very happy with the outcome. I will continue working on my Pembroke Grange but will also start a new project for the show which will be a renovation of a 1:24 scale dolls house.

Make sure to keep tuned for the next update. Take Care and See You Soon,

Hugs,
