International Pillow Fight Day.

Hello Everyone,

As promised here I am again. Today is April Fools' Day but you won't be getting any April Fools' Day tricks from me.

However today we also celebrate International Pillow Fight Day. Do You consider yourself as a pillow warrior? If so today is your day!

At Miss Leah's Bedroom there was some mayhem.

Have a nice weekend.

8th Day of Christmas - Visiting Miss Quelina

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

It's Saturday afternoon and like every other week Miss Holly has tea with her dearest friends Miss Leah and her sister Miss Quelina. Leah and Quelina shared a small house together and Holly made it a point that Saturday afternoons was to be spent with the girls just like how they did before when they were kids.

Holly always got something to share with her friends over tea; a cake, a tin of biscuits or on occasions even some of her own  home made scones.  Today was no exception, only that today she got something Christmasy especially for Quelina. Quelina was Holly's age and she had moved to Regent Street before Leah did to run the family business, 'Matquel's Antiques and China Shop.'

Holly arrived right on time like always. She enjoyed helping the girls prepare for tea. Today Leah was staying late at the boutique as it was the Saturday before Christmas.  Quelina was there to welcome Holly at the door.

Holly made a Christmas Wreath for the girls so they could hang it outside the door.

Quelina loved it and she thanked her sweet friend for the kind gesture. Holly enjoyed making these little Christmas craft thingies.  Quelina immediately opened the door to hang the wreath outside.

Holly and Quelina started preparing some sandwiches and tea while waiting for Leah to arrive.

The two friends talked about life at Regent Street. Quelina talked about the family business and that Matquel's has a new shop assistant as the previous one has retired. She was also thinking of refurbishing a bit the shop too. Quelina asked Holly  to visit the antique shop whenever she had some time to spare so she could help out with some new designs.  When it came to the interior decor Holly always had that extra flare to colors and eye catching detail.

An hour later, Leah arrived home and to her surprise she found the beautiful Christmas wreath waiting for her at the door. Without thinking twice, she already knew that it was Holly that did the wreath. It made her smile when she thought of her sweet friend;  "Holly and Christmas always fitted so well together. "

Leah was famished the second she entered the room and smelled the delicious tea party that the girls prepared for their Saturday afternoon.

This is all for today. Keep tuned for tomorrow's 9th day of Christmas. Let's see where Holly will take us to.

Take  Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Number 35, Miss Leah's Home makes it in Print.

Hello everyone,

Once again we came to another weekend. Hope you are all fine and enjoying your summer. I am enjoying the kids as they are off on their summer break. At least I am pleased that I get to spend most of the day with them.

This Summer we will be very busy fixing the property for the big move of the dolls houses. I will be posting some pictures when some good progress has been done. I also wanted to thank you family, friends and fans for all your support. Your emails and messages do give me the courage to keep going strong and I guess it is thanks to you that I arrived where I am today. I am pleased to say that My Miniature World on Face Book has reached over 15,000 likes. Thank you everyone. I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me.

I am thrilled to say that No 35, Miss Leah's Home is featured on the Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine on July/August Issue.

There is a 3 full pages with article and pictures. The article is called A Home for Miss Leah. You can click here for those who would like to read it.

Miss Leah will always be one of my favorite. Miss Leah's Boutique and her home were the turning point in my life where I started to give more credit to my work. I actually start believing that no matter how hard the obstacles are and no matter what life throws at me I will keep fighting until I succeed.

Regent street will still keep on growing. I already have several kits that will go in with it. I am just taking it slightly slower than usual as I have to focus more on the property. So hopefully once the new premises is done I can continue working on the new projects.

The boutique and Miss Leah's home really look nice together.

No 35, Leah's is finally complete.

Hello my dear friends.

Hope you are all well and doing fine. It has been quite a stressful few days but I think I am managing.

Today I will be sharing with you the last post of this project. Miss Leah has moved into her new home and I just can't believe that this has come to an end.

Miss Leah's Boutique and No. 35

Firstly I want to welcome three new followers to my Blog. Welcome Mandy Judge, Shirley Hargrove and Lerryn Meza. A big welcome to you. I also wanted to tell you a big thank you to all you followers of my  blog and the 5,500 fans on face book for your great support and encouragement. I really appreciate it.

Today's free give away goes to our blog follower Kira Portabello. Please do send me an email with your personal details so I can send you the lovely ceramic platter. There will be another free give away so please don't give up.

So as we came to the end of Miss Leah's new home, I have made a miniature Diary that belongs to Miss Leah. I have collected all her diary entries and turned it into a journal which was printed and added it to her bed room.

Inside Miss Leah's Diary
The Best part is that the same diary has been turned into a digital book where you can read it by visiting our blog page Miss Leah's Diary or clicking on this link Miss Leah's Diary

Firstly I wanted to share Miss Leah's Bed room and her new additions. There was still some work to do in this room. I have added some framed pictures to the wall. Some how they do make a huge difference.

On top of the little desk I added a hanging book case and filled it with books which looks just right for the desk.

I then started adding accessories to the little desk. My father hand painted the little ink set for the desk and it fitted in perfectly.

I have also made a little night gown for Miss Leah and placed it on her bed.

I have added a blanket chest and decorated it with the same wall paper pattern that also matches her cupboard,

Accessories where also added to the room like the little dog bed for Lulu. She is very happy to be sleeping next to her madam.

And so the bed room has been complete.

Like I told you I still added something small to the living room. I have made a small bar of soap and dish cloth which I made out of a man's shirt and added it to the sink.

New accessories to the sink.
Like you all know Miss Leah prepared a small tea party for her sister. Here is the surprise.

Finally. It was time to light the house up. It is my favorite part to see it lit.

And here is the final entry from Miss Leah's Diary.

15 th August 1880

Dear Diary,

It has been almost a week since I moved in my new home. It is good to have room where to put all my things without worrying about space. It is good to be independent, looking after your own belongings, sleeping in my own bed. The first few days were quite hard. I missed the company of Quelina, waking up to the smell of her breakfast and chatting with her. I am glad that Lulu is here with me. The little thing has settled in lovely. I guess she was used to the home already. She slept in her basket without any problems.

Even though Quelina and I live in a separate house, she definitely made it a point that we won’t lose sight of each other. Every single morning before she opens the shop she pops in to make sure that I am up and not running late. In the afternoon we go shopping together groceries and even stop for some tea at Manuel’s. In the evening we have dinner together, mainly at her house. I think she is afraid of eating my food.

Today I surprised her. I asked to come over to help me out and when she came she found the dining table set for a small tea party between sisters. It was a small celebration for the new house as I wouldn’t have done it without her. We had sponge, scones, sandwiches and jam tarts. She loved it. Now I hope that she can trust me with food. Matty is away in Madrid. I am sure he would have loved it. Father will come over for my birthday which is round the corner. I hope that Matty will be here. I might throw a small party for them and a few friends.

I have been drawing some new designs for new gowns. Madam De France will have to see these. Her opinion has always been fruitful.  So this is all for tonight as tomorrow I have quite a day travelling to the Manor House. We will be having lots of adventures.

Nighty night my companion.

Hugs,

So once again I am closing another chapter. I will be missing this project very much indeed as it's been a year since I started the boutique, but I am looking forward to start my new one.

Miss Leah won't be saying good bye to us. We will get to meet her with her friends and family in Regent Street.

I hope you have enjoyed it. Please keep tuned for our next new project. I am really excited about this.

Take Care and see you soon.

Hugs,
