Introducing the New Project 'The Miniaturist' on Life & Style

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are well and you are enjoying your weekend. The weather is very cold here and has been raining all afternoon. It's just right to stay indoors to keep you lovely people updated with my on-goings.

Today I will be introducing the new project called 'The Miniaturist'. This new project is another roombox which will be placed on top of 'The Dickens Book Shop' and will be shared during the 'Life & Style' TV Show on Net TV Channel.

I started off by measuring and cutting out the wood to fit exactly on the Library.

Like with every project I gave it an undercoat of paint and used the same textured paint for the outside.

After all the wood panels were set and painted, I assembled the new room box. This time there will be two rooms  which will have a small kitchen and the room that belongs to the miniaturist.

For the miniaturist's room I wanted to make a wood stove which I have built from scratch using cardboard and wood plaster.

At first I have to admit I wasn't sure about it but then my eyes settled to it.

I have cut the wall paper and the flooring for both rooms and I have also included a false door at the back of the miniaturist room to give the impression that there are more rooms behind.

Friday 15th February it was time for me to take the new project to the TV Show Life and Style were Marbeck Spiteri and I introduced 'The Miniaturist' to the audience.

Here is the clip of the new project.

Here is the second part of the show were you can see the first glimpse of the room so far.

Here are a few photos of how the room box looks like so far. I am looking forward to continue working on it.

Hope you liked what I have done so far. Keep tuned for the next update on this project.

Take Care and See You Soon.

1:48th Scale Miniature Scale Sitting Room Furniture

Hello Everyone,

Here I am once again. Apart from being constantly busy with my work, I am trying to fit some time to enjoy my passion too.

Now that the Traditional Dolls House is practically done from my side. I am about to share with you my newest project.....but before doing so I wanted to share with you what I have finished off yesterday.

1:48 Scale miniature sitting room furniture
My dear friend and fellow miniaturist Melissa from The Netherlands sent me a few of her kits in 1:48 scale that she does. They are all precisely laser cut using cardboard and fiber board. I had the pleasure to meet Melissa last October at the Big Event Fair in 's-Hertogenbosch. I have used her 1:12 scale  kits in The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn which look so beautiful displayed in the Parlour.

Now I have tried out her 1:48 scale kits. You can find her wonderful kits at Etsy Melissa's Mini Wereld and now on her new Web Page Melissa's Mini World. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed.

As I got quite a few kits that I will be sharing with you gradually some of them will be used for a 1:48 scale project. The pieces that I will be sharing with you now will be part of the new 1:12 scale project.

The kits come with full instructions that you will find quite easy to follow.

Even though they are small and tiny they are easy to assemble especially with the help of  tweezers. I painted them in a dark shade of brown.

Even though they are made out of cardboard with the use of glue and paints they are quite sturdy. Once the paints and glue were full dried I added the cushioning to the seats of the sofa and armchairs.

Here are the pieces all ready to be used in the New Project.

From here I want to thank Melissa. Looking forward to see her again in the beginning of March at the Dolls House Netherland Show in Arnhem.

Can't wait to share with you the new project, so make sure to keep tuned. Hope you like the new pieces.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Continuing with The Traditional Dollshouse

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well. Finally I am going to share with you some more works on The Traditional Dolls house. The building is now complete.

The Traditional Dolls House
I continued where I left off. I have wall papered, floored and added the lights to the study, the main bedroom and the nursery.

I like the combination of colors used for the whole house.

I added a few accessories to the front, to make it look more like the 'Classical' dolls house with the door portico and wood strips.

The inside of the front was wall papered according to the rooms and I have added the curtains.

When everything was ready and the fronts were hinged, the girls Leah and Raquel started adding the furniture pieces and accessories.

I totally enjoy watching them play together and discussing how they are going decorate the rooms.

I will be sharing with you how they have decorated the rooms later on, so make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! This year My Miniature World will be celebrating it's very first Valentine's Day since it's opening. Frankly I am not the type of person that celebrates Valentine's Day for the simple reason I believe that love should be celebrated everyday throughout the year.

In Regent Street we have a few couples that made it official. I am sure that romance will blossom more eventually.

Finally Sir Edwin Barrett and Miss Leah have officially declared themselves as a couple.

Miss Leah's older sister Miss Quelina has been seeing Mr. Edgard Hevey. Quite a cute couple.

Mr Edgard Hervey and Miss Quelina
My favorite couple in Regent Street are the two love birds in The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn. The Bar tender Larkin and the sweet barmaid Susanna. Larkin has proposed to Susanna on the day.

Apart from Regent Street, My Miniature World has a new couple. I am so looking forward to start the new project of Pembroke Grange, even if for the time being it is on hold. Her is Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

The two dolls have been dressed up in Regency Style and Mr. Darcy is the splitting image of Colin Firth in Pride & Prejudice.

A big thank you goes to my favorite doll maker Beverly Senatore who makes my lovely dolls. Thank you Beverly for making my projects more alive.

Wishing you lots of love and warm hugs.

See you soon!
