'Le Forge' - Finally Completed!

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend. Firstly I wanted to welcome a new follower of my blog. WELCOME Ellise!

Today is quite a big day! Finally 'Le Forge' is totally completed. It took me almost 9 months to complete but I am just thrilled that it is ready. I also have a lot of mixed feelings as I am feeling a bit sad that I won't work on it anymore. After finishing a project I always feel a bit sorry like I am leaving a best friend behind but then again I always look forward to start off a new project or house. In these circumstances I am looking forward to the new baby and a new cottage.

'Le Forge'

At the moment 'Le Forge' is my crown jewel from all the projects that I have made so far. I was really afraid to start it as I wasn't sure if I was capable to do what I pictured in my mind but everything fitted in perfectly. The Gate House kit from the Dolls House Emporium was amazing even if I have altered it and added to it. I guess that is the fun of it all! Trying to make it as unique and original as much as possible.I really enjoyed making my own furniture and miniatures too for this project. 

Well here are quite some photos of it with new accessories and pieces added in the last few months. For the next couple of weeks I will be taking it easy as baby is almost round the corner. In the mean time I will still continue making some new miniatures and also I might start preparing for my new project 'The Woodcutter's Cottage'. 

So please keep tuned as I still have much to share. I hope you all like the finished 'Le Forge'.

Latest Polymer Clay Minis for 'Le Forge'

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are all well and enjoying your summer. Here in Malta we're passing once again through a heat wave.  I want to thank you all for your wonderful comments. It makes me really happy. I also want to welcome three new followers to my blog, Kathi, Natalia and Natasha. WELCOME! 

'Le Forge' is almost ready and complete, just in time before baby arrives which will be in the next 4 weeks. I have made some more polymer clay minis for 'Le Forge' which I think will be the last items that I will add to it as  I think that it is quite full. 

I have made a small silver frame which I have placed in the sleeping quarters of 'Le Forge'. The frame itself is made out of polymer clay and the picture is just a print out. Well actually the picture is a photo of myself when I was around 19 years old.

Then I have made a Trug with Vegetables. The vegetables are a cabbage, carrots, onions and potatoes. The trug is also made by me with polymer clay. These have been added to the living area of 'Le Forge'

I also made some yummy minis. I have made an apple tart and a fruit pie. The fruit pie has a cut out piece too which has been placed on a separate plate. The three plates have been made also with polymer clay and hand painted by me. These have also been added to the living area of 'Le Forge'

I am quite pleased with the outcome and I find it very relaxing at this stage of my pregnancy.

Keep tuned as I will be sharing with you very soon the complete project of  'Le Forge'. I will be missing this project as most of the items have been done  by me which I never expected that I was capable of making, but then again I am really looking forward to my new project. I already have some great plans for it. Obviously I will start building the new project after the baby comes but in the mean time I will start some little minis for it.

Le Forge - The Back Garden

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all well. 

Today I will be sharing with you the back garden of 'Le Forge'. This means that I have completed the whole project till my dead line that I did. The garden was completed on the last day of July. Probably I will still be adding some more accessories but most of the works is complete

Like you know the blacksmith's forge leads to a back garden. I have gotten myself a wishing well which I have painted added a lantern to it and gave it a more used appearance. 

I didn't add any flowers for the simple reason that I just can't imagine any flowers growing in this particular garden with all the smoke and heat coming from the blacksmith's forge. I added two trees and some creatures that are quite friendly.

So this is how it looks so far.

Some More Polymer Clay Minis for 'Le Forge'

Hello Folks,


How was your weekend? Here in Malta the heat has risen again. So summer is pretty much the same.


'Le Forge' is almost ready and I am starting to take it a bit easy before the baby comes. The last few weeks are very frustrating so I try to keep myself busy by making little miniatures.


Today I will be sharing with you some more polymer clay minis that I did for 'Le Forge'. I really enjoy doing them and I find it very relaxing especially at this moment.


I have done a stool which will be place in the blacksmith's forge, a kettle which has been placed on the oven in the living room area. Then I made some bottles, a back scrub brush, another bar of soap on a tray and my favorite is the shaving set which consist of the badger brush and razor which I have placed them in the sleeping quarters and in the water closet, I think the shaving set is the smallest items that I ever did with polymer clay and for the first they came out perfect


I hope you all like them. Will be posting more progress of 'Le Forge' very soon so make sure you keep tuned.

Le Forge - Sleeping Quarters!

Hello everyone!


Hope that you are all fine.  I have been quite busy this week and the heat is pretty much the same. I am slowing down a bit as only six weeks to go before baby comes.


Today I will be sharing with you the top floor room of 'Le Forge' which is the Sleeping quarters.  I have added the wooden ceiling beams and have made a wooden  rail next to the opening of the floor from where the ladder is resting. 


It is a very small room with slanting walls and you can't do much.


Like you all know the bedding, curtains, carpet, the framed picture have been done by me. Probably I will still be adding some more accessories but so far this is how it's looking.
