New Miniature Toys

 Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all doing well and that you had a great weekend. Finally, my glorious Summer is here and the kids started with their well-deserved long break. 

While working on my number one priority project, I still get to do a few miniatures that I enjoy making and that I can share with you.

During the weekend I built a few nursery kits and made a cute Humpty Dumpty. 

The first that I got to build was the old rocking horse. Akit by Melissa's Laser ville Miniwerld. I totally love how it turned out. 

Then I got to make the miniature Pull along duck toy from Iriginals. The kit was straightforward to do and I painted it in bright colours. 

The soapbox go-cart kit from Jane Harrop. An amazing kit I have to say. My hand-crocheted Peter Rabbit was so happy to try it out. 

Finally, I printed a miniature of Humpty Dumpty and hand-painted it. He sits very proudly on his stool and from there he will never have a great fall. 

All the toys are now displayed for now in the Little Angel's Toy Shop until they find their place in a new home.

Santa's Visit at the Little Angel's Toy Shop

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend and that you're prepared for the festive season. Six Days until Christmas! Like always I am looking forward to Christmas and spending some quality time with the children. 

My Miniature World has been quite busy too. At Santa's Workshop St. Nick and his Elves have been busy for months making toys for all the little boys and girls. Santa has also a special delivery of toys to the Little Angel's Toy Shop in Regent Street. 

The new handsome Santa Claus was made by my dear friend and doll maker Beverley Senatore. I added some accessories and improvements to him. 

A week before Christmas Day, Santa visited Mrs. Ella and her Toy Shop in Regent Street to deliver toys and a beautiful set of special dolls. 

Mrs. Ella was so happy with the new selection of toys and couldn't wait to display them. 

A new display was added for the special dolls in the Little Angel's Toy Shop. 

The display fitted in the shop perfectly and the girls spent most of their time taking in the dolls, trying to choose their favorite.

1st Day of Christmas - Visiting Little Angel's Toy Shop

 Hello Everyone,

"On The Twelve Days of Christmas, Miss Holly will be visiting Regent Street to bring joy and wonder during the magical time of Christmas. "

Miss Holly, born on Christmas Day, a mysterious young lady who believes in the magic of Christmas. Since a little girl she always believed in the wonder and joy Christmas can bring to others. As she moved to Regent Street looking for prosper and good fortune she wasn't as lucky as she hoped for, but during this time of year she wanted to share the little that she had with the good people of the community.

Her first visit was to the sweet little shop called the Little Angel's Toy Shop. A shop that Miss Holly enjoyed peeking through the window to see all the cute little dolls and toys.

 

Miss Holly had a Father Christmas doll that she thought would find a better home in the toy shop with the other dolls that Mrs. Ella had. 

Very proudly Miss Holly presented her Father Christmas doll to Mrs. Ella as she handed him over knowing to well that he would be much happier here. 

Mrs. Ella was so happy to have this gorgeous doll. She promised Miss Holly that he would be looked after and be placed in a prominent place for others to enjoy. She invited Miss Holly to come to the shop whenever she wanted even for a chat. Miss Holly was so thrilled to have made the acquaintance with the kind Mrs. Ella.  

Father Christmas has such a cute face, with his white beard and rosy cheeks. Now he stands proudly among the other toys in Little Angel's Toy Shop.  

Both Miss Holly and Mrs Ella were happy and cheerful thanks to the little Father Christmas doll.

New Toys for the Little Angel's Toy Shop

Hello everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend and that you are tucked in. It's been quite cold here and mother nature hasn't been kind to us. I can't recall of feeling this much cold and having so many rainy days like this winter. Can't wait for Spring and the warm weather. 

Today I will be sharing with you some new miniature toys for the Little Angel's Toy Shop. Like most of you know I have decided to upgrade a bit the tiny toy shop. Mrs. Ella has been doing a great job and a few new toys just arrived for her.

The first to arrive was the miniature hand painted, fully jointed Pinocchio. This one was hand painted by my father. One of my favorite toys I must say. I remember as a little Rebecca I had one of my own made out wood with the same colors. Thinking about it I still have it, although Matthias is now the new master of my Pinocchio. It stands proudly like always in his bedroom.

Mrs. Ella was very happy with the new Pinocchio.

The next two toys are the hand painted push along horse and the fully jointed teddy which I painted. 

The next lot are the four pull along animals. The bunny, the dog, the penguin and the pig. The four toys are hand painted by me too. 

As there will be more toys to come, I have added a new piece of furniture.

Celebrating the New Year at The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn

Hello Everyone,

Tonight down at Regent Street there's a New Year's Celebration. Mr. Edwin Barret wanted to throw a party marking the first welcoming of the New Year in Regent Street.

Sir Edwin invited most of the gentlemen that visit the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn on regular bases. His best friend Edgar was there like always at his table. Mr. Fletcher decided to join the men and found an empty seat near Edgar. 

Mr. Joseph Rookie from J.R. Art Gallery decided to join in. Miss Reeva  offered to look after Heather for the night as she didn't have any plans of her own. A girl's night would be great. She wanted to have a tea party with yummy cakes that she got from Manuel at the Coffee Corner. He made special cakes just for little Heather. 

Mr John Corbett, the jolly gentleman decided to join Mr Rookie for the evening, Like always he had so much to say. 

Sir Edwin, tried to keep up with all his guests thanks to his staff. Finally he sat with Mr. Ivor discussing business over a pack of playing cards.

Madam Barrett had plans of her own. She invited the ladies to her parlour. Her daughter Miss Roslyn helped her to organize the evening. Mrs. Perkins, the guest at the inn joined in with the ladies. Miss Leah from Miss Leah's Boutique was invited and also her older sister Quelina from Matquel's Antiques & China Shop.  Miss Ella came along and felt very welcomed to be part of the friendly neighborhood of Regent Street.

The ladies enjoyed gossiping and played all sorts of games until the time came to join the men and welcome the New Year together.

Have to run now and dress up for the evening. I don't want to miss the Party at the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

Little Angel's Toy Shop in Regent Street

Hello everyone, 

Another weekend has passed by and Christmas is getting closer. 

Today I wanted to share with a very special project that no one knows much about. 

Little Angel's Toy Shop was my second shop that I did, only that it was never meant to be part of the shops in Regent Street. It never came as a kit. It was designed and built by me after a bitter experience in August 2011. It was a side project that I kept to myself without sharing it, until it was complete.

Today Little Angel's Toy Shop stands in My Miniature World part of Regent Street. After all this time it still looks beautiful. 

Little Angel's Toy Shop brings bitter sweet memories. It was named indeed after a tiny angel that never got to see the light of day in this world, but is still among us roaming freely, looking over us among his kind. The little angel is still loved and never forgotten. 

Most of the toys and toy boxes were done by me at that time. 

One of the most eye catching characteristics of the toy shop is the cherub ceiling which still looks so pretty.

 The Trio; The hobby horse, Bettina the tiny doll and her teddy are still in the shop. They were my very first toys that I made with polymer clay.

After all this time, the tiny shop has been calling out to me. I went to the shop and asked the shopkeeper and guardian to the toys if she needed anything. She told me that she was starting to feel tired. She told me that she couldn't keep the shop up to standards of Regent Street.  Finally she told me that she wanted to retire and asked me if there was someone to replace her. 

It came to me as a surprise, but I fully understood her wishes. It was a hard decision and quite difficult to find the right person. At the end the young Miss Ella arrived to Regent Street.

Mrs Ella Johnson is another beautiful doll made by my lovely friend and favourite doll maker Beverly Senatore.  Mrs Ella is in her mid thirties, a mother of two and is very kind to children. 

I offered Ella the task to take over the shop and she accepted whole heartily.

. 

The retiring shopkeeper was happy with Mrs Ella and agreed that she was fit for purpose. 

I left her roam through the toy shop and I could see a sparkle in her eye. I am sure that we will be seeing some changes in the toy shop.

I am happy to say that there will be some new additions to the toy shop.  I think the toy shop does deserve more, especially for what it stands for. The additions will come gradually and it will be a side project. We will also be having a new story line for this project just like the rest.
