Adding furniture and miniatures to Santa's Office

Hello everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today it's 1st December. I can't even believe it that Christmas is around the corner. Little Leah is 3 months old already. Matthias and Raquel today opened their first window of the advent calendar and are eager for Christmas day. I wanted to welcome a new follower of my blog Jane Smith. Welcome! I also wanted to thank my dearest friend Patty for giving me a Christmas tree to decorate my blog. She is a fantastic miniaturist and digital designer. You can see some of her wonderful project on her site:
www.pattysminiatureworld.co.uk.

Santa is busy checking his list
Today I will be sharing with you some additions that I made to Santa's Office and quarters. Well firstly I wanted to share with you the mantle piece that I did for the wood stove. I have found a lovely Christmasy tile pattern, printed them on a photographic paper and glued them to the extra flooring and wall that I added. Then I made a shelf to be used as a mantel. I have made some polymer clay miniatures for it too. I made 3 canisters and the little tea pot. The canisters have also been hand painted by me.

Then I started working on the desks. Santa has two desks. One of them is a navigation desk. This desk is used for map reading, routes and for weather reports. As you can see I have made a couple of navigation tools out of polymer clay. I am quite happy with them. I also made some atlases, a log book out of polymer clay  and maps.

Then I started working on the writing desk. Where you can see the lovely desk set made with polymer clay. Lots of letters and mail. By the side of the desk There are four crates full of letters to Santa. The four crates represent the four continents of the world; Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

I have also made Santa's Good List. It is quite long. On this list there are the names of my three children, my husband's, my family and all my friends at the Dolls House Emporium's Forum. They are very supportive.

There is still so much to do. I just really hope that I will finish this project in time for Christmas. My kids are really counting on it. Keep tuned as I have so much to share with you.

Take Care & see you soon.
