HoneyChurch - Victorian Dolls House Shop

 Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week. Have been busy as always with my miniature work and project. Today I wanted to share with you a new arrival to My Miniature World. A few days ago a Vintage Dollshouse has been added to my collection.

I still can't believe that I finally found one. The HoneyChurch - Victorian Dollshouse Shop. I have been after one of these for years and out of no where I found one in a very good condition.

This HoneyChurch dolls house first appeared in the late 1970's. I have to say that I am very happy with it, considering that it is in a very good condition and I found it at a very cheap price.

One of the features that I love about this dolls house is the depth of its front. You have amply of space to add furniture and decorate with accessories at the front.

All rooms are wall papered and flooring. Each room has a ceiling light which I haven't tried out.

The shop front is quite cute to with lots of space to work on.

I will  be doing some small alternations and add more details to it.

Miss Holly had quite an interest in this project. I wonder what she has in mind.

She basically has already moved in to start some works and she wants to be settled for Christmas.

I wonder what she has in mind but she looks very happy. She is also looking for a name for it and she has quite some interesting names.

This is all for today. I hope you like my new addition to the shop. Make sure to keep tuned for the next  updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

The Children in 'Le Château'

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great week and that you are looking forward to the weekend. Here I am still working on my French project 'Le Château'. A few residents started to move in to the main quarters of the house. It's quite a big family I have to say so I will start introducing them a few at a time. It always gives me pleasure to hear the laughter and giggles of children especially during play time. They fill the house with positive feelings and make it feel like a home, so I will start with them.

Sixteen year old Felicia the youngest of her family. She has a much older brother and three sisters. By the time she was ten years old she was already an aunt to three beautiful children.

Camille

Her first niece is the six year old Camille, daughter of Madam Georgette who is the second daughter, third born and sister to Felicia. She will be introduced later on when her time comes. Young Camille is very attached to her aunt Mademoiselle Thérèse. They enjoy spending time in the Library. Just like her aunt she has a flare for books.

Then there are the five year old twins Paulette and Henri who are cousins to the lovely Camille. They are the children of Monsieur Jean de Forbin first born son and brother to Felicia and Thérèse.

The twins enjoy spending time with their aunt Felicia and they always find something interesting in her chambers.

Paulette

Paulette loves playing with Felicia's doll Esmèe while Henri enjoys playing with the old toy horse.

Henri

The lovely dolls were all made by my dear friend and doll maker Beverley Senatore.  A big thank you goes to you Beverley for making my dolls houses alive with you beautiful dolls.

Hope you like the new young residents. I think I will prepare a family tree with their pictures and all for you to understand better. I think it will be much easier to follow.  So this is all for today. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Wishing you all a Happy Weekend.

Hugs,

Adding more to the 'Library'

Hello Everyone,

Hope  you are all well and had a great week. The weekend is back so I will be adding more to my project 'Le Chateau'. During last week I got to work a bit more on the 'Library' which is situated in the attic.

The Library

I started off by adding a few furniture pieces that I made and renovated. The first piece that I did was the Chaise Lounge.  It took me a while to complete but at the end it turned out as I hoped for.

I also worked on two chairs that I matched up with the chaise lounge and the small coffee table

I added a few hand painted miniatures on the mantle piece of the fire place and on the coffee table.

Another lovely doll made by my dear friend Beverely Senatore was added to the room. Mademoiselle Thérèse the first daughter, second born and sister to young Felicia.

Mademoiselle Thérèse

Here are a few photos of the room so far. I will be adding a few more details to it eventually, but so far it is looking great.

I hope you like what I have done so far. Can't wait to continue working on this room. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Have a Nice Weekend.

Take Care and See You Soon.

The Library at 'Le Château'

 Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Here in Malta it's really hot. I think the last few days have been the hottest days of this year.  I can't recall having this kind of weather but not surprised considering that it's August.

Today I am really excited to share with you the final room that I am working on, at my 'Le Chateau'. I have to say the last room was the most challenging but at the end I got it right.  I finally managed to design the Library which is next to Study room in the attic.

Having slanting walls from every side of the room with a staircase in the way was not easy at all. I started off by designing the back wall which holds the bookcase and the central doors leading to another room.

Once the back wall was done I focused on the fire place wall which was quite tricky to finish.

I spent the weekend working on miniature books to fill in the library.  I lost count of how many books I made, but they definitely fitted in perfectly and were worth the trouble.

I printed and hand painted two busts statues one of Maria Antoinette and the other of Louis XIV to add to the bookcase.

I have also printed two ceiling roses and painted them to match the room.

Finally I worked on the well and the railings of the staircase.

Here is the finished room which is all ready to be furnished and decorated with accessories.

I worked on the lights and I was trilled that I could see the whole project lit. There is still so much to do but I am so pleased with it so far.

I hope you like what I have shared with you today. I can't wait to finish this project. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates on this project.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,
