How are you? Hope you have enjoyed your weekend. Today was another day at the office and today was not such a lovely day. It rained a little and it's very windy. You can hardly believe that it's June. Thinking about June; June is actually my birthday month which brings me to a give away a little prize to the followers of my blog and my face book page.

So today I wanted to share something exciting with you. Like you all knew just a couple of months ago I had finish my Bloom & Blossom Florist Shop. I had a lovely client Jane Kubiesa who purchased some of my minis from my Etsy shop. She was very happy when she received her miniatures and she asked me if I was in dolls housing. I gave her the page of my blog to show her some of my works. I didn't even know that Jane Kubiesa was actually a writer for the Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine. She needed material for the article she needed about Florist Scene and she asked me if I wanted to send her some pictures of my florist Shop.

I had just received the Miniature Scene Magazine July's Issue and I was just stunned with the whole article.

To see my own work printed on Uk Dolls house magazine makes me really proud.

Finishing The Bloom & Blossom Florist Shop

Hello folks,

Hope you are all feeling well after the Easter Holidays. I had a good Easter as I celebrated it with my family like I always do. The kids enjoyed opening their presents that they got from the Easter Bunny.

So today I will be sharing with you the finishing touches of the Bloom & Blossom Florist Shop. I am really thrilled that it turned out the way it is now.

So I have added more clients to the shop itself and added more minis. I like these resin figurines especially working on a modern project. They look more realistic than the normal porcelain dolls. 

I really tried my best to give more details to the whole room.

Then once again I added more miniatures in the staff room.

I have made some more miniatures out of polymer clay and ceramics. I have made some dirty dishes, and added more detail to the kitchenette. I also added some kitchen accessories that fitted in the scene perfectly.

Finally I added the wall lights and I guess this is another finished project. I never imagined that it would turn out like this. From a kid toy to a collectors dolls house. I just love it.

Adding more miniatures to the Staff's Room in the Florist Shop

Hi Everyone, 

How are you? Hope you are all fine. Have you got used to change in the hour? It has been almost a week now and it is still hard for me to wake up early. Although I must admit that I like the idea of having a longer day. The weather here is getting warmer and warmer. I wanted to welcome a new follower of my blog; Welcome Kati!

Today I will be sharing with you some miniatures that I have been making for the staff/pantry room which comes above the florist shop. 

So my first miniatures that I have made where actually ring files and flower magazines. I have designed the ring binders and printed them. To make the rings inside the binders I used jump rings that you find from craft shops to make jewelry. I wanted to make these files  where the florist can keep his paper work. I have also created two open files where you can see bridal flower arrangements. Florists tend to keep a portfolio of their work to show to their customers. I have also printed some flower magazine covers and downsized them. I am really happy how they turned out

What I wanted to make in the room was a scene with clients. Here we have Trisha who is the co-ordinator when it comes to big occasions. She helps with ideas and give advice to her clients. Trisha is also Jack's wife. At the moment Trisha is helping Linda who is preparing for her big day. To help her decide on here wedding flowers there are her mother and granny. I am sure they will pull it through as they couldn't have found a better florist.

I have also made some polymer clay miniatures. I have made a laptop for Trisha. A fire extinguisher which every shop or public premises should have. I have filled two mugs of coffee, made some sandwiches so Trisha can server her clients, some dish washing soap and some toiletries for the cubical.

 I also made two bags to add to the scene.

Finally I added some posters to the whole room which I have printed. It made the room look more realistic.

I am really pleased how it all turned out. I still need to add more miniatures to this room especially in the kitchenette. So this is how the room looks like at the moment.

I also wanted to let you know that as Easter is around the corner I have also made my 10th miniature downloadable book which you can download from this link The Night before Easter.

This book will fit perfectly in a dolls house nursery especially during Easter time.

Decorating the Bloom & Blossom Florist Shop

Hello my dear friends,

How are you? It has been awhile. Some how I have managed to skip two weeks without posting. It is so not me. I am just tired out. The minute I try to do something such as miniatures or dolls housing I just collapse. It has been 2 months since I stared work and now I can feel the toll. I wake up early so I end up sleeping early. Maybe I should blame it on the weather. Hopefully Spring and Summer will make me feel much better, I also wanted to welcome a new follower to my blog WELCOME Sharon Larkin. 

Wow 90 followers. Time to start preparing a free give away when 100 followers are reached. HINT HINT!!! 

Today I will be sharing with you some new additions to the florist shop. I am really enjoying this little project. I have worked some more on the florist. Adding more flowers. It seems like you can't get enough. Some of them are my making and some of them I got them ready. 

I have started working on the working bench. I really enjoyed doing this. I have opened a tea bag and used the grounded tea leaves instead of soil. It just fits in so perfectly and smells right.  I had a bunch of lose flowers and turned them in a bouquet. I have made the green long leaves out of felt and wrapped them up in wrapping plastic. It just turned out so well. 

I kept on adding flowers and more flowers until the room was actually bursting with them. Most probably I will still end up adding more and more. As I am not 100% convinced yet.

Now that the shop is actually ready well it is time for it's big opening and The Bloom & Blossom Florist has opened it's doors for business. George a hard working florist is really happy how the shop turned out. He has moved to the city to be more central and reach more people. Jack his son works with him and is really proud of his father. It wasn't an easy move but I am pretty sure that they will succeed.  The first client is actually a little girl called Amber. She wanted to get some flowers for her mum. George being a gentleman gave her some flowers for free for being their first client.
