The Hallways in 'Le Château'

Hello Everyone,

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you are all well. It's been a while since my last post as I was quite busy working on my project 'Le Château' and making new miniatures.

I have to say that the hallways are now complete and I am very happy how they turned out.

I continued working on the entrance hall of 'Le Château' were I added a few pieces of my own. The first piece that I worked on was the hall table and oval mirror.  For my first trial they turned out amazing.

The second piece that I added to the entrance was my very own designed and scratch-built settee.  I wanted to add a piece of furniture to fit under the staircase so the best solution was making my own.

I also got to work on a few accessories for the hallways. For the hall table I made a Pendulum clock and a Bohemia crystal style vase with Daisy paper flowers.

Finally I added the wall paintings were I also printed a few frames and down sized a few printed antique Georgian paintings.

Here are some photos of the Hallways .

This is all for today. I hope you like what I have done so far. I can't wait to start working on the rooms. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates on this project.

Take Care and See You Soon.

J.R. Art Gallery featured on the DollsHouse World Magazine

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well.  Quiet busy like always but today I wanted to tell you that  once again J.R. Art Gallery is featured on the latest issue (N0 335) for the month of August/September on the DollsHouse World UK magazine.

J.R. Art Gallery

It has been three years already since I started building this dolls house and I have to say it is still one of my favorites.

Very proud to say that J.R. Art Gallery has a four page feature with beautiful pictures and article.  It also got a bonus picture featured on the front Contents pages.  A big thank you goes to Sandra Harding for the publication.

For those who would like to ready the article you can click on the link: Rebecca put her heart and soul into this art gallery.

In the past few years a few additions were added to J.R. Art Gallery. It is very unusual for me to add more miniatures to a finished project but J.R. is quite the exception.  Apart from the sleeping girl Heather which was added months later, there has also been a few accessories added.

The miniature Painting 'A Bar at the Folies-Bergère by Èdouard Manet. The Painting itself was also an inspiration for a doll that you will find in 'The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn'

A small copy of the Painting 'The Open Gate' painted by fellow artist and dearest friend José Pereira Torrejón.

José had painted the beautiful painting for me which I have at home and it was only appropriate that I have a mini version of it in my gallery among his other original paintings that I have.

Another small accessory that was added to the upper room was the amazing detailed coffee grinder which was also made by José. I totally love it!

A few weeks ago  José  painted another amazing painting for me called 'The Swan' to add to the Gallery. I am totally blown away with it.  I can't wait to see it for real and add it to the gallery. I am sure I will find a special place for it.  Will be sharing more about it once it is here.

Here are some pictures that have been featured in the magazine.

Hope you'll like it. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.
