The Three Little Piggies

Hello Everyone,

Here I am once again. Hope you are having a great week. I am doing well. Busy like always but happy as can be.

Today, finally I wanted to share with you my new project "The Three Little Piggies".

The Three Little Piggies is a project that I really had to do. It has been in the pipeline for quite sometime and it was the ideal small project after working constantly on The Mornington Dollshouse project and writing my book "Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House".

The Three Little Piggies Project was inspired from one of my favourite Children's Fables that has always left an impression on me in every aspect of my life. As a child it was the 'huffing and puffing' of the Big Bad Wolf  that gave me the shivers especially when my father used to imitate the wolf while telling me the story.

The morality of the story always played a big part  while growing up and in achieving my goals. Patience and hard work always pays off at the end. Like I always say and teach my kids "No Sacrifice, No Victory".

Besides all that the pictures of my childhood story book, gave me lots and lots of inspiration how to execute the project.

The Dollshouse Emporium's Cabin kit was ideal for this project. I have modified the kit slightly by adding another window and added a chimney stake.

The outside walls have been plastered and decorated with bricks.

The door and window have been painted in a teal colour.

The roof has been tiled with two different types of roof tiles.

I have also made a small plaque for the outside of the house.

And here is the complete exterior of the project.

I hope you like what I have done so far with the project of 'The Three Little Piggies'. I have to say I am very pleased with the outcome so far.

This is all for today. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates and latest news.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Visiting Venice!

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are well and had a great weekend. I am looking forward to share with you my new project but before that I wanted to show you a few new miniatures.

A week ago I got to visit the beautiful city of Venice in Italy.

I was so taken by the beauty and the peace this city offers. It's rich in culture, history and arts.

I have seen a few amazing displays of Miniature books. Lots of Shops full of Murano Glass and Venetian Masks.

I visited this beautiful Murano Glass Shop that makes miniature glass pieces and within the shop the visitors can see the process of the glass making.

I got to buy a few tiny Murano Glass pieces. I have to say they are quite pricey.

I tried to find a miniature Venetian Mask but unfortunately the scale of the masks that I came across were still too big for a Dollshouse. So I got to make my own, which I am very happy with it's outcome.

The glass pieces will be put in a miniature cabinet. Hopefully I will be getting a few more glass pieces to add eventually.

The miniature Venetian Mask fitted nicely with a few of my Georgian dressed dolls.

I have painted one of my own printed green vases to make it look more like a glass Venetian vase and placed the mask inside it for display.

So this is all for today, I hope you like the new miniature additions to my collection. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,
