Another Great Year for My Miniature World. Can't wait for 2018!

Hello everyone,

Are you all prepared for 2018? I am so looking forward to the new year. There is so much to do and so much to achieve.

Happy New Year from Regent Street
2017 comes to an end and I can't believe that it has been an amazing year here once again at My Miniature World. Another year of achievements and success. It is all thank to you; thanks to your support and encouragement. My Miniature World Blog has reached 235 followers and 180 followers on Google plus. The blog has also reached 268,724 views and has 2,204 comments. I don't have words to thank you enough for everything.

My Miniature World on Facebook has reached over 16,600 likes and My Miniature World Group holds 1,700 members. Thank you for being there.

My Miniature World Shop at Etsy has had the best year ever since it was opened. The shop now offers over 470 miniatures including furniture and 86 miniature books. This year I also introduced 1:24 scale accessories. I'm pleased to say that now my miniatures have reached 33 countries all over the globe.

Like every year I do a run through of what  I achieved and what to expect for the new year. I have to say it has been exciting.

January

In the beginning of the year I started working on the Wood Cutter's Cottage. Another vintage DHE dolls house that I enjoyed building.

February

Kate's Cottage made it on print on the the Dolls House Miniatures Magazine. Another lovely feature that I enjoyed. Here is the link to blog post A Charming Historic Cottage

March

Miss Leah's Boutique once again made it on print on the Dollhouse World Magazine. One of my all time favorite projects. A project that was the beginning of my turning point in the miniature world.

April

One of our hand painted miniatures the hall gong was featured in The Dolls' House Magazine. It is one of our most favorite miniatures among the clients.

May

In May I got to finish the Woodcutter's Cottage. It was a cute project that I enjoyed. Apart from that, May holds a special place in my heart.

June
In June I had started and finished a small project, a room box. I wanted to do this for quite some time. It is called the DHE Museum.

Also in June My Miniature World Blog got awarded Top 100 Miniature Blog on the world wide web. This is all thanks to you friends.

July

In July I had one of the best miniature experiences. I had the chance to visit The Queen Mary's Dolls House in Windsor Castle and I visited Kristin Baybars Toy Shop in London.

August

In August I started the most amazing project ever. The love of all project by far; the J.R. Art Gallery.

September

The introduction of new miniatures in 1:24 scale at My Miniature World Shop at etsy. I couldn't believe how much clients sought the miniatures in this scale.

October

In October my darling tiny Posy arrived. She makes me smile and enjoys being with me especially when it comes to miniatures. Posy wanted a Christmas Stocking. On Christmas Day she found a silver locket and her first new miniature book story.

November

Finally in November I completed my J.R. Art Gallery. I couldn't believe that it looked the way it is.

After completing the gallery the Dolls House Emporium invited me for an exclusive interview which was great.

December

In December I started and finished a small display box which I have turned into a clock shop called The Timekeeper's Shop. I have made most of the miniature clocks. Still can't believe that it turned out so beautiful.

At the end I finished off this year with a miniature tin box Winter Scene with bunnies.

So that was the run through the whole year for 2017.

I'm really excited for 2018. There is so much to do and so much to look forward to. This year is going to be a big year for me and my miniature world.

The New project for the new year is called
The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn. It's another discontinued DHE property which I am eager to start.

Another big project that I am working on is the opening of my dolls house exhibit which hopefully will be soon opening for the public. Started moving a few of my dolls houses into their new building. A big thank you goes to my husband Gilbert who has really worked hard for the past year to make this a reality.

There is a big chance that I will also be working on this project called the Pembroke Grange another lovely discontinued DHE building.

And that is a wrap up. This is all for today. Hope that 2018 will be kind to us all so we can enjoy it.

From here I want to wish you and your loved ones a Very Happy New Year 2018!

Keep tuned for the first update of the new Project "The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn."

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

The Finishing of The Timekeeper's Shop

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a magical Christmas and that you enjoyed it to the full. Santa has been and the kids enjoyed their goodies. It's a joy seeing them excited. They remind me so much of my own childhood Christmases.

Just before the new year I have finished off The Timekeeper's Shop. I have to admit I loved every moment of this small project.

The Timekeeper's Shop
I was really eager to work on the desk of the shop. Even if it was very small I wanted to give it detail as much as possible. I have found these very tiny gears and pieces, most probably of tiny wrist watches and added it to the table. The magnifying glass was one of my pieces that I did a long time ago and the clock oil was made using half an empty capsule with colored resin. I think for a tiny table it looks great. To the wall I have added a few clock making instructions too.

To the growing collection of the clocks I hand painted myself a few clocks that I really like. The big clock with the matching candle sticks was hand painted by my dad a few years ago which I really love.

I also added two wooden cuckoo clocks kits that I enjoyed building and painting. There is a good chance that I will be changing their weights and make chains.

I added a few purchased clocks too which I like and look a bit realistic.

On the stool I added a clock book and newspaper.

My dearest friend José Pereira Torrejón made a small closed and open door sign for me which I really love and it fitted the scene so perfectly. Thank you so much José.

I also made a small shelf over the desk to add the smaller clocks.

Finally I connected the light and it looked perfect when lit. Here are the pictures of the finished project.

This is all for today. Hope you like how this project turned out. I'm very happy especially when I remember how it was before. So I guess this will be the last project for the year. Now I'm all set up for a much bigger project that I will be sharing with you very soon. Make sure to keep tuned,

Take Care and see you real soon.

Hugs,

Tin Box Theater - Snow Dream

Hello Everyone,

Are you all set for Christmas? I still can't believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve. This month just passed through in a blink of eye. Well the kids are all excited for tomorrow especially when they know that Santa will be visiting and getting goodies.

Today I will be sharing with you a small Winter miniature Project in a tin box called Snow Dream.

Tin Box Theater - Snow Dream
Just like the miniature decorative baubles I tried my hand at one of these micro scale tin box displays. The kit comes in a nice box with all that you need including instructions.

There are a lot of tiny pieces I have to admit and everything has to be built....and when I say everything I mean everything......from a tiny vase, to a piece of furniture.

It took me a few days to finish off but the instructions are well explained. Usually I tend to start all the furniture pieces and accessories.

Micro Furniture Pieces

The good thing about it that I had Posy keeping me company and helping out. When I'm on the verge of giving up on some tiny piece, she's there to pull me through. For some reason I keep telling myself that I won't do any micro projects and I always tend to fall for them again.

Posy helping out with the pieces
When all the pieces were done and ready. I started working on the setup of the the tin box. When that was ready I had to  install the battery supply lighting.

I started off first by decorating the outdoor area on top with a few trees, sleigh, bench and the lamp post.

Then I got to work on the inside of the small house that belongs to the bunnies Harry and Bella.

When the setting was all done I finally connected the wires and the tiny tin box was lit.

The nice thing about it was the change of color in one of the lights. I love it. It looks so magical. Here is a short video of it to see.

Here are a few more pictures of it all.

Posy was so happy to see it all done and ready just in time for Christmas.

I hope you liked this miniature Winter Project. I tend to do something small just in time for Christmas.

Posy and I want to wish
you and your loved ones a
Very Merry Christmas
full of blessings and love.

Posy is all excited for her first Christmas. She's looking forward to see what Santa will get her.

Keep tuned for the next update on the Timekeeper's Shop. It will be all done and ready before the New Year.

Take Care and See you Soon.

Hugs,
