Introducing the Meissen Collection

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog!

Today is a very exciting day because I am finally unveiling something I have been keeping completely under wraps in the studio. This is the very first time I am sharing my brand new miniature Meissen Collection with you all!

If you know how much I absolutely adore antique and Brocante styles, you will understand why I was so inspired to recreate these beautiful pieces. I spent a long time studying genuine antique Meissen items, looking at their rich history and breath-taking elegance. I wanted to bring that exact same feeling of luxury into miniature rooms.

I designed every single piece myself from scratch. The real magic happens during the painting process. Since I do not use actual porcelain, I carefully hand painted every single item to capture those iconic colours, patterns and delicate floral details. It takes a very steady hand and an immense amount of patience to get those tiny brush strokes just right. After the intricate painting is dry, I apply a special gloss finish so they have that beautiful authentic shine and look exactly like real glazed porcelain.

You might wonder why I am revealing these pieces today. I have a habit of preparing all the tiny accessories and treasures first when I am gearing up for something much larger! Creating these delicate items is my way of slowly building the atmosphere before the main structure even comes together. It gives me a clear vision of the final scene. Every single one of these new Meissen pieces is actually destined for a very special place inside a major upcoming project that I am working on behind the scenes.

Preparing the accessories first makes the whole creative process feel so much more real to me. I am not quite ready to reveal the entire grand plan just yet, but I promise it is going to be something truly magical.

I have made a reel to share with you below so you can see all the tiny painted details. Grab a cup of tea, enjoy browsing through the photos, and please let me know in the comments which piece is your favourite!

This is all for today. I hope you will like my new collection. Make sure to stay turned for the next updates and latest news.

Introducing New Miniatures for Schiedam Dollshouse Fair

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are doing well.

The studio has been an absolute whirlwind of activity this week, and the packing boxes are finally starting to pile up! As many of you know, I am heading to the Netherlands this week, and I am incredibly excited to announce that I will be exhibiting at the Schiedam Dollshouse Fair this Saturday, the 27th of June 2026.

This is actually my very first time exhibiting at this specific fair! I am absolutely thrilled to be bringing My Miniature World to Schiedam and to finally meet so many of you in person at the Margriethal. I wanted to make this debut truly special, so I have been pouring my heart into creating an entirely new collection of pieces to bring with me.

When designing and decorating a period dolls house, it is those tiny, exquisite details, a delicate vase on a mantelpiece or a finely decorated ornament on a side table, that truly bring a space to life.

To give your miniature rooms that perfect, historically authentic finishing touch, I am introducing a brand new, exclusive line of hand painted miniature vases and ornaments.

These pieces are the result of countless hours of meticulous brushwork under the magnifying glass. I drew heavy inspiration from historical pieces to ensure every piece feels perfectly suited for your miniature parlours and dining rooms. The collection includes  classic floral vases with tiny floral motifs that look incredibly elegant sitting on a side table or mantel piece. Ornate urns, rich historically inspired patterns with gold detailing, perfect for grander, upper class miniature homes.

A sneak peek at some of the new hand painted floral vases! I am so incredibly proud of how the fine details came out. They are packed up and ready for Schiedam!

Now, I know it is the middle of summer, but in the miniature world, it is never too early to start preparing for the festive season!

Alongside the new hand painted miniatures, I am bringing a surprise to the fair: a selection of gorgeous new Christmas items. Whether you are planning a grand Victorian Christmas scene or just want to add a festive touch to your dollhouse, these pieces will bring all the magic of the holidays to your tiny homes.

The absolute centerpiece of this festive launch is my brand new, original design Christmas Ormolu Clock.

This clock is making its official world debut on the day of the fair. It features incredibly intricate detailing, capturing the luxurious, gilded look of traditional ormolu metalwork, perfectly scaled down and infused with elegant Christmas charm. It is the perfect statement piece for a festive miniature mantelpiece, and I cannot wait for you all to see it in person.

The official debut of my original design Christmas Ormolu Clock! The perfect touch of gilded festive luxury for your miniature mantelpiece.

If you are attending the Schiedam Dollshouse Fair this Saturday, please do stop by the stand number 41 and say hello! Since it is my first time here, I would absolutely love to meet you and show you these new vases, ornaments, and the exclusive Christmas Ormolu Clock in person.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, 27th June 2026

  • Location: Sporthal Margriet, Nieuwe Damlaan 5, 3119 KA Schiedam, The Netherlands

For those of you who cannot make it to the Netherlands this weekend, do not worry! I have taken lots of close up photos of the entire collection. I will be sharing a massive gallery right here on the blog once I am back and settled, so you will be able to see every single detail of the ceramics and the clock in high definition. All pieces will be available soon online from My Miniature World website. www.myminiatureworld.co.

This is all for today. I hope you'll like my new miniatures. Make sure to keep tuned for the latest news and new project.

Miniature Cherry Blossoms in Bloom.

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. As always, it has been quite a busy time, filled with preparations, projects, and ideas constantly flowing. But on Saturday evening, I felt the need to slow things down and take a little pause. No dolls house fair preparations, no TV show projects, no new design concepts. Just something simple, peaceful, and made purely for the joy of creating.

I wanted to do something with my hands, something delicate and calming, and something that would allow me to relax and simply enjoy the process. So I decided to create a miniature cherry blossom tree in a pot.

It has been quite some time since I last made flowers, and with spring now in the air, it felt like the perfect moment to return to it. What truly inspired me was a nearby cherry blossom tree in my neighbourhood. It happened to be growing in a pot, which made it even more charming and unique. I found myself stopping to admire it more than once, and I knew I had to try and recreate that feeling in miniature form.

Out came the paper, floral wire, and my trusted paper punches, and I began the process. There is something incredibly soothing about working on flowers. Each tiny petal, each small detail, requires patience and care, but it also allows your mind to rest. Slowly, piece by piece, the little tree started to come together.

I found myself completely immersed in the process, enjoying every moment of it. No pressure, no deadlines, just quiet creativity. And sometimes, those are the most meaningful projects of all.

When it was finished, I stepped back and looked at it, and I have to say, I truly love how it turned out. It feels soft, delicate, and full of that gentle springtime atmosphere. A small piece, but one that brings a sense of calm and happiness.

It also reminded me how important it is to take these little moments for ourselves, even when life gets busy. To create something simply because we want to, not because we have to. Here is a short video so you can see the details.

So this is all for today. A small, peaceful project, just for me, and a reminder of the beauty in slowing down. Keep tuned for the next updates and latest news.

Take care and see you soon,

My First Needle Felt Miniatures

 Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are doing well. It has been a little while since my last post, but I have been quite busy working on new miniatures, preparing for the Dolls House Fair in Schiedam, and continuing with my new project for the TV show, 'The Timekeeper’s Shop'.

Alongside all of this, I always try to take a little time to create something just for myself; pieces that simply make me happy. After working on 'The Mouse House in The Sewing Room' project, I felt inspired to try something completely new… needle felting.

I had never tried it before in my life, but I thought, why not? Let’s give it a go. I must admit, it came with a few pricked fingers along the way...... completely my fault and very unnecessary! But after a bit of practice, I slowly started to get the hang of it.

My very first tiny miniature was an adorable little teddy bear, which I named Rupert. He may not be perfect, but as we all know, practice makes perfect. I still find him absolutely charming, and he has now found his home in the Little Angels Toy Shop, where I am sure he is very happy.

As Easter approached, I felt a little disappointed that I hadn’t really created anything for the season. So I decided to make a miniature bunny. I must say, I absolutely loved working on this one, especially his tiny carrot! He is called Hoppy the Bunny, and I think he turned out just perfectly.

I am also sharing a small reel so you can see just how tiny he really is.

So this is all for today. I hope you enjoyed this little experiment into something new. I will be sharing more miniatures that I have been working on very soon, so make sure to stay tuned for the next update.

Take care and see you soon,

The Nursery Nostalgia Collection

Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are doing well.

Lately, I have been extremely busy preparing for my upcoming dolls’ house fair, creating new miniatures and exploring fresh ideas. This time, I went a little further and poured my heart into creating a brand-new and very special collection called The Nursery Nostalgia Collection.

This collection was lovingly prepared for the International Dolls House & Miniatures Fair at Expo Houten, Utrecht, The Netherlands, and it celebrates the sweetness of childhood; those comforting, playful moments filled with imagination and warmth. This is truly the place where all the cute things belong.

The Nursery Nostalgia Collection consists of nine miniature sets, some inspired by my own childhood memories and others by beautiful vintage toys. Each piece was carefully designed to feel timeless, gentle, and full of character, evoking the charm of traditional nursery rooms.

The collection begins with toys on wheels, classic pieces that instantly spark joy. There is the Woolly Walker, featuring a sweet little lamb ready to be pushed along, as well as the Puddle Parade Pull-Toy and the Cottontail Cruiser, both designed as charming pull-along toys that bring movement and playfulness to any nursery scene.

The Shape-Match Puzzle

The Push-Through Shape Sorter

Educational toys follow, bringing back some of the sweetest memories. The Shape-Match Puzzle and the Push-Through Shape Sorter were created to capture the magic of early learning, where little hands match shapes into their proper places, turning playtime into discovery.

One of the most personal pieces in the collection is the Snuggle Bug, inspired by my own vintage Glow Worm toy. I remember sleeping with it every night as a child, and what makes it even more special is that, after all these years, I still have it. This miniature holds a very dear place in my heart.

Storytime is also an important part of nursery life, which led to the creation of the Story Time Teddy and the Bedtime Bear Bookends with matching books. The little teddy feels like the perfect companion for quiet reading moments, while the books and bookends add a warm, lived-in feeling to the space.

Alongside them is the Cuddle Bunny, because everyone enjoys cuddling up to a bunny.

Inspired by vintage toys, The Snowy Swan Rocker is one of the more unique pieces in the collection. Elegant and nostalgic, it adds a beautiful focal point to any nursery setting.

Every little doll also deserves a bed of her own, which is why I created the Darling Dolly Cot with its baby doll. This piece brings back fond memories of playing “mummy” and lovingly taking care of a baby doll, something many of us remember from childhood.

The final piece in the collection is the Penny Lane Cottage with its tiny furniture. This vintage-styled dolls’ house includes furnishings for all four rooms; the sitting room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. I love the idea of dollshouses within dollshouses, and this one feels especially charming as it is designed for children. After all, every nursery needs a dolls’ house.

All the items in the Nursery Nostalgia Collection will be available unpainted and in kit form, allowing you to personalise each piece and truly make it your own. The kits come beautifully packaged with full instructions and clear illustrations. After the fair, the collection will also be available through the My Miniature World website, and I’m sure it will continue to grow over time.

At the fair, the entire collection will be displayed together in a small nursery vignette, allowing visitors to see how all the pieces work together in one complete scene. This little display brings the collection to life and offers inspiration for decorating nursery rooms and miniature spaces.

In less than two weeks, I will be in Houten at Stand No. 47, and I truly hope you will stop by to see the Nursery Nostalgia Collection in person.

That’s all for today. I hope you enjoy this new collection as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Make sure to stay tuned for the next updates and the latest news.

Take Care and  See You Soon.

Hugs,

The Duchess’s Drawing Room – A New Showpiece for Houten 2026

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all? I hope you had a great weekend. Today I’m excited to finally share a brand-new project that has been quietly taking shape over the past few months.

I created this display especially for the International Dolls House & Miniatures Fair in Houten (Utrecht), The Netherlands. This new room box is called The Duchess’s Drawing Room.

This piece was designed with one clear intention in mind: to stop visitors in their tracks.

At fairs, people are naturally drawn to beautifully styled displays, not only to admire them, but to gather inspiration for decorating their own miniature rooms. With this in mind, I wanted to create a space that felt rich, elegant, and timeless, while also showcasing how individual furniture pieces and accessories can work together to create a harmonious interior.

Every single element in this room box has been made and hand-painted by me; from the furniture to the decorative accessories. It was a labour of love that took several months to complete, with careful attention paid to balance, colour, and detail. The result is a refined drawing room that feels both grand and inviting, a space where one can easily imagine the Duchess receiving her guests.

I’m very happy to share that all the items featured in The Duchess’s Drawing Room will be available during the fair. Most pieces will be offered hand-painted, while a selected few will also be available unpainted for those who enjoy adding their own personal touch.

Below is a first look at the finished roombox, to give you an idea of the atmosphere and style I’ve created.

The International Dolls House & Miniatures Fair will be held at Expo Houten on 25th January 2026, and I truly hope that this display will inspire, delight, and perhaps spark a few new ideas along the way.

I’m very much looking forward to sharing this piece with you in person.

Make sure to stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the fair.

Take care and see you soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca xxxx
