The Start of 'Holly's Christmas Shoppe

 Hello Everyone,

How are you all?  Hope you are having a great week. The weather is getting colder as Winter approaches and Christmas is round the corner.  After the success of last year's 'Twelve Days of Christmas at Regent Street'', Miss Holly is busy setting up her new shop in Regent Street.

The building itself didn't come with doors and the opening of the doorways are quite small. I had found small doors from my last visit to The Netherlands but have adapted them  to fit in the opening.

We started off with the furniture pieces that will hold all the Christmas goodies.

The Cash Register was painted by my father with a different shade.

Miss Holly has a  younger sister that is also helping in the shop. Carol is an amazing cook and baker and  she is preparing some nice Christmas Cakes for the Shop.

The first additions to the shop were Carol's first Christmas Cakes and pastries all made with polymer clay.

Miss Holly is quite happy how the shop is turning out and can't wait to add more.

The shop window has also been decorated with some Christmas cheer.

So here are some more photos.

So this is all for today. Don't forget that today is the closing day for our free give away. For those who  would like to take part Click here

Hope you like what I have done so far. There is still so much to do.  Make sure to keep tuned for the next update.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Guests at Le Château!

 Hello Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. De Forbin family and the household have settled in nicely in their new home Le Chateau.

Today they have welcomed their first guests to their home. Seigneur Frederic invited his niece Dame Karine and her lady-in-waiting Mademoiselle Astride.

After a day of travelling Karine wanted to refresh herself and rest.  Astride could tell that her dear friend Karine was tired so she took it into her hands to pamper and look after her.

Here are some photos of Astride taking care of Karine at the dressing table while she brushes her hair and having a chat.

The wonderful dolls have also been made by my dear friend and doll maker Beverely Senatore.

I hope you like the new additions to the project. Next week we will start off the new project with Miss Holly. We are all excited about it here at My Miniature World. Make sure to keep tuned.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

I am really pleased with the outcome and I still can't believe that I was the one to complete.

Here are individual photos of each room.

So we start off with the entrance hall, which leads to the sitting room on the left and the kitchen on the right.

Finishing off Le Château with the fourth hidden wall!

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend. I have to say I am very happy and for a very good reason. Finally I after one year and 5 months I have completed the 18th century French style dolls house 'Le Château'.

This weekend I got to finish the fourth hidden wall of the dolls house.

The Fourth Hidden Wall

The fourth hidden wall is basically the opening, the front of the house. There are some builders that don't really bother with it, but I try my best to decorate it in the same interior decor finish according to the rest of the house. I start off by painting and decorating the wall like the adjacent rooms.

Once that is done I start making the curtains and the pelmets.

The main door and the door on top of that was decorated exactly with the same wall paper of halls and staircase.

Hall Way Curtains

Then on the left (which is actually the right hand side) you find these simple curtains for the kitchen.

Kitchen Curtains

On the opposite side you find the sitting room wall that I decorated with matching wall panels, pelmet and I used the same fabric of the upholstery of the sitting room furniture for the curtains .

The Sitting Room

On the left hand side at the top you will find the Main Bedroom's Wall.

Main Bedroom

Finally on the right you find the wall to Felicia's Bedroom which is also decorated with the same fabric and color scheme of the room.

Felicia's Bedroom

So this completes the Dolls House. I still can't believe that it is done. I will be sharing more pictures of the inside on my next post but this is how it looks on the outside.

I can't wait to share with you the final photos of the interior. Hope you like how it turned out. Make sure to keep tuned for the final installment of 'Le Chateau' and I will be introducing the new project.

Take Care and see you soon.

Hugs,
