Celebrating the New Year at The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn

Hello Everyone,

Tonight down at Regent Street there's a New Year's Celebration. Mr. Edwin Barret wanted to throw a party marking the first welcoming of the New Year in Regent Street.

Sir Edwin invited most of the gentlemen that visit the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn on regular bases. His best friend Edgar was there like always at his table. Mr. Fletcher decided to join the men and found an empty seat near Edgar.

Mr. Joseph Rookie from J.R. Art Gallery decided to join in. Miss Reeva  offered to look after Heather for the night as she didn't have any plans of her own. A girl's night would be great. She wanted to have a tea party with yummy cakes that she got from Manuel at the Coffee Corner. He made special cakes just for little Heather.

Mr John Corbett, the jolly gentleman decided to join Mr Rookie for the evening, Like always he had so much to say.

Sir Edwin, tried to keep up with all his guests thanks to his staff. Finally he sat with Mr. Ivor discussing business over a pack of playing cards.

Madam Barrett had plans of her own. She invited the ladies to her parlour. Her daughter Miss Roslyn helped her to organize the evening. Mrs. Perkins, the guest at the inn joined in with the ladies. Miss Leah from Miss Leah's Boutique was invited and also her older sister Quelina from Matquel's Antiques & China Shop.  Miss Ella came along and felt very welcomed to be part of the friendly neighborhood of Regent Street.

The ladies enjoyed gossiping and played all sorts of games until the time came to join the men and welcome the New Year together.

I want to wish you and your loved ones a
Very Happy New Year 2019

Have to run now and dress up for the evening. I don't want to miss the Party at the Master Swordsman Pub & Inn.

Will keep you updated with the run through of 2018 and what's to be expected for 2019.

Take Care and See You Soon,

My Miniature World featured on 'Niskata' TV Show

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the new year. Just popped in for a quick post before closing the year like I always do.

Last Thursday I am very pleased to say that My Miniature World was featured on the 'Niskata' TV Show on the Maltese TVM Channel. A few months ago Frederick Zammit visited My Miniature World for an interview about my dolls house collection.

From here I want to thank Frederick for visiting and for the amazing feature on the show. I am impressed that it lasted more than 15 minutes.

Here is the feature that was shown on the 'Niskata' TV Show.

This is all for today. Will be posting the yearly run through tomorrow. Keep tuned for the new updates.

Part 4 - Life & Style TV Show - The Library

Hello everyone,

Here we are once again. Hope you are all set for the New Year. I have to admit it's been a great year!

Today I will be sharing with you the progress of The Dickens Book Shop. It's been a week today that I shared it live on the Life & Style TV Show on the Maltese Net TV Channel.

The Library
The first part of the show starts by the introduction of the program and usually I'm there too, to tell the audience what I will be sharing during the show.

During the show I got to share the new additions of the library.

I first started with one of these book case, which I totally wanted to change to fit a fire place in the center.

I had to cut through the wood but I have manage to make a small fireplace using both wood and cardboard.

Once that was ready I started staining the unit to match the other book cases.

I decided that the alcove above the fireplace, wouldn't be used as a book case but an area to hold a painting of Charles Dickens himself. I have found a nice decorative wall paper which I have printed myself.

The painted of Charles Dickens was printed on canvas and I also painted the detailed frame for it.

The Book case looked lovely in the room with the lights on especially in the alcove above the painting.

In the second part of the show I shared how the library was done and here it is.

At the end of the program which was the show right before Christmas, Charles Saliba, Marbeck Spiteri who are the presenters of the show and I got to take a picture together.

Here are some photos of the library so far. I am really happy with the outcome.

More books still need to be added. It will take a while to fill the shelves.

Hope you liked what I have done. I will be sharing more of my progress on this project very soon. Keep tuned for the next update.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Christmas Project - Commissioned Room Box

Hello Everyone,

I can't believe it! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I hope you are all prepared for the Big Day! For some reason I prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. To me it has more magic!

Today I wanted to share with you a Christmas Project that I just finished a couple of weeks ago.

After the launch of My Miniature World, I had a lady requesting me to do a small Christmas Project for her to give as a gift. At first I wasn't very sure about the idea. Usually I don't accept projects such as this to do for others. Apart from the time it takes to do, I have a tendency of not parting from any of my projects. The lady was very understanding and she gave me a free reign and that I could take as much as I wanted even if it was given to her after Christmas.

I went for a small room box with a very pretty front. I could already imagine it being decorated with a Christmasy touch. I asked the lady to give me some ideas of what she wanted, what she liked and with that I started building this room box.

I started working like always on the outside of the room box and the front. The front was also decorated with a touch of snow.

Then I started filling the room with furniture pieces, decorations and everything that the lady wished to have.

Finally the day arrived when I had to part from the project and give it to the rightful owner. I had prepared everything for her with the lights and all. She was thrilled with it and I could tell that it was going to a loving home.

Here are some more pictures of how it looks.

I hope you have liked this Christmas Project.

I want to wish you and your loved ones
a Very Merry Christmas.

Posy is going to be quite busy tomorrow. You can all visit her Blog Posy The Tiny Bear to see more.

That's all for today. Don't forget to leave biscuits and a glass of milk (or something stronger) for  Santa.

Keep tuned for more updates and progress of my ongoing projects.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Part 3 - Life & Style TV Show - The Book Case

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all fine and doing well. All set for Christmas? Can't believe how fast this month seemed to go by.

Today I will be sharing with you a quick post. Thinking about it, with Today's entree we have reached the 300th blog post.

As you all know last Friday I was a guest on the Tv Show Life & Style where I am sharing a miniature project in progress.

Last week I got to share a unfinished book case and the making of one of My Miniature World Books. The book collection keeps growing and so far I have reached the 90th Book. There are so many books that I still need to do to fill the whole library.

During the show I got to show them how I make my miniature books.

Here is one of the video clips during the TV Show.

I have used one of these bare wood book cases which is going to be part of the library.

I have stained it and decorated it accordingly and finally filled it with my miniature readable books that I have available for sale both in download and in kit form from My Miniature World Shop at Etsy

I am very happy how the bookcase turned out. Finally I am going to have my books displayed properly in a library.

Tomorrow I will be once again on the Tv Show 'Life & Style' on the Maltese Channel Net TV at 12.50 pm. So make sure to keep tuned for the next installment on the library.

Take Care and See You Soon,

Hugs,

Part 2 - Life & Style Tv Show & New Project

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all well and having a great week,

I know I am a bit late in posting this but time is not in my favor at the moment.

Like a few of you already know every two weeks I am a guest at the Maltese TV Show 'Life & Style'. During this show I am creating a new miniature project which in this case it's the new room box called 'The Dickens Book Shop' which will display my collection of readable miniature books that I make myself.

During my second time at the show I have showed the audience what a room box actually looks like.

Here is the Aired Video Clip.

During the show I got to share with the audience  how to decorate a room box with wall paper, flooring and ceiling. I just gave them an idea how it would look like having all the inside walls decorated and how to choose the style and coloring of the interior.

Here is the Video Clip of the second part of the Show.

The good thing about it is that through the Tv Show I will also be sharing with you like always the progress of this Room box.

As time is precious. I did a shadow box of my own. I took the measurements of the book cases that I will be using before creating the room box itself so they will fit nicely in place against the three walls.

I painted the room box before the show was aired but then  I properly pasted the wall paper and flooring in place afterwards.

Once that was ready. I continued working with the ceiling, lights and cornice. For the ceiling I choose a nice embossed paper which I thinks will look very nice with the room.

So this is how the Dickens Book Shop looks like so far.

Tomorrow at 1:00 pm on the Maltese Net TV Channel  there will be the 3rd part of the making of the library. Tomorrow I will be sharing my miniature books, how to make them and decorating one of the book cases that I will be using for this project.

So this is all for today. Keep tuned for the next update on this room box.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,
