TVAM TV Feature at My Miniature World Museum

How are you all? I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. It has been quite an exciting few days for me, and today I’m very happy to share some of our latest news.

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Claire Preca Taroum at My Miniature World Museum for the TVAM TV Channel. The interview was filmed inside the museum and was broadcasted on the same day.

During the interview, Claire and I talked about several of my most beloved creations. The main highlight was my latest completed project, The Victorian Miniature Parlour, but we also spoke about Holly’s Christmas Shoppe, No. 44 Mornington House, and my book “Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls’ House.” We even touched on other favourite projects such as The Dickens Book Shop and Pembroke Grange. It was wonderful to share the stories, characters, and inspiration behind each piece.

Today, I also had the chance to visit the Kensington Dollshouse Festival Christmas Show in London, and oh my… it was absolutely amazing! But that is a story I will save for another day, once I’m back home in Malta. There’s definitely a lot to tell!

What’s New in My Miniature World

Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you’re having a lovely week. Today I’m excited to share a little peek into what has been happening in my miniature world lately. Over the past weeks, I’ve been working on a variety of new miniatures; each one different, detailed, and such a joy to create. 

I’ve also had quite a number of wonderful visitors at My Miniature World Museum. It always warms my heart to see the look of wonder on their faces as they explore my dolls’ houses and miniature creations.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting more with tiny accessories and decorative pieces, so my workbench has been buzzing with new little projects, each one full of detail and personality. Some are for an upcoming display at The International Dolls Houses and Miniature Fair in Expo Houten, The Netherlands. Yes, people… I will be exhibiting there in January 2026! Others are for future museum projects, and a few were simply born from sudden inspiration and curiosity.

I started off with some lovely kits by Jane Harrop that I brought home from the DHN Show in Arnhem. The first piece was the cutest nostalgic vintage Swiss jewellery box. I added delicate hand-painted floral details to give it that timeless, old-world touch. 

Then came the adorable Scotty dog bookends; even sweeter than I imagined! 

And of course, the tiny 1:48 scale dolls’ house, a miniature treasure that required patience, steady hands, and plenty of love.

I also got a new toy… a laser cutter!

 I tested it by cutting an SVG file and made the sweetest dolls’ house cupboard, which will soon take its place inside The Mouse House. I can already tell that this massive machine is going to open up a whole new world of possibilities.

Then I moved on to some furniture pieces for a big upcoming project. I made, painted and upholstered the elegant swan chairs to perfection.

I also made round tables that I gilded with gold leaf and finished with hand-painted marble tops

I also created a beautiful rose fireplace that I absolutely adore.

But without doubt, the most challenging and rewarding piece from these past weeks has been my miniature dome Ballerina Clock. Inspired by the vintage German clocks by W. & A. Schmid-Schlenker from the 1960s, this design required a lot of thinking and planning. I wanted to capture the delicate detail and elegance of the original while giving it my own artistic touch. From sketching the concept, choosing the correct colours, designing the tiny details, and assembling the final piece. Every step demanded precision. Seeing it finally come together was incredibly satisfying, and I’m truly proud of how it turned out.

This weekend, I will be going to the Kensington Dollshouse Festival Christmas Show in London. This time, I’m going as a visitor, and I plan to enjoy every moment of it. I’m sure I’ll be bringing home a few lovely goodies!

Featured in Dolls House World UK – The Dutch Baby House Cabinet

Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. I’m absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! My project, The Dutch Baby House Cabinet, has been featured in the latest issue of Dolls House World UK Magazine, Issue 385!

The article, titled “Victorian Parlour Where Tiny Worlds Come Alive,” beautifully showcases this elegant cabinet that forms the heart of The Victorian Miniature Parlour. It’s one of my proudest creations and a true showstopper that captures the magic of the Victorian era in miniature.

The Dutch Baby House Cabinet is filled with six intricate rooms, each telling its own little story from the refined main bedroom and the cosy study to the charming nursery and classic bathroom, all in the tiniest 1:144 scale. Every room is designed with precision, warmth, and that touch of nostalgia that makes miniatures so enchanting.

Creating this piece was a joy from start to finish. It combines my love for storytelling, artistry, and history, and it’s wonderful to see it recognised in such a respected magazine. I’m deeply honoured to be featured in Dolls House World , a publication that has long celebrated the passion and creativity behind the miniature world.

I’m also delighted to announce that there’s now a new miniature book inspired by The Victorian Miniature Parlour!  This little treasure captures the project’s essence in true miniature form which is a lovely keepsake for collectors and miniature enthusiasts. The book will be available soon from My Miniature World online shop.
