Hello Everyone,
I hope you are well and that you having a great week. Now that November is here, Christmas is getting closer. Even though I am preparing for my next book launch I still try my best to fit some time for my own creativity. I am excited to share with you this year's Christmas Project.
Most of you know about Miss Holly and her Victorian styled Christmas Shop and you also know about her short stories. Last year's story was about her niece Noelle and St. Nick.
Holly's Christmas Shoppe is also where Miss Holly and Noelle live, but as the space is limited unfortunately they share the same bedroom. However this is about to change.
On the upper floor of Holly's Christmas Shoppe where the attic lies, on the front panel there is a small area but when it comes to the house itself there is no access to the room.
I found it very odd that the panel was closed and it seemed such a pity to have so much space wasted.
So I decided to open the panel to create a bedroom for Noelle. As I am forbidden to use certain cutting power tools, Gilbert had to do the job to cut the rectangle neatly to have access to the attic.
It was perfect! Thank goodness that I had the same wallpaper pattern that was used for the front panel. I cut another wall to split the attic area and have more of a smaller cosy room and painted the roof and wall.
A short wall was added to make the floor edges neater and I fixed everything to the roof.
I created a small false door that will be added to the side walls as an entrance to the room.
I have to say I am very happy how it looks already and I can't wait to decorate it.
I have already added a few nursery toys to the front.
I think Noelle will love it once her bedroom is ready. Hopefully by Christmas it will be done and ready.
Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates on this project and for the latest news.
Take Care and See You Soon.
Hugs,
Rebecca xxx
