Hello Everyone,
How are you all? I hope you had a great weekend. Today I’m excited to finally share a brand-new project that has been quietly taking shape over the past few months.
I created this display especially for the International Dolls House & Miniatures Fair in Houten (Utrecht), The Netherlands. This new room box is called The Duchess’s Drawing Room.
This piece was designed with one clear intention in mind: to stop visitors in their tracks.
At fairs, people are naturally drawn to beautifully styled displays, not only to admire them, but to gather inspiration for decorating their own miniature rooms. With this in mind, I wanted to create a space that felt rich, elegant, and timeless, while also showcasing how individual furniture pieces and accessories can work together to create a harmonious interior.
Every single element in this room box has been made and hand-painted by me; from the furniture to the decorative accessories. It was a labour of love that took several months to complete, with careful attention paid to balance, colour, and detail. The result is a refined drawing room that feels both grand and inviting, a space where one can easily imagine the Duchess receiving her guests.
I’m very happy to share that all the items featured in The Duchess’s Drawing Room will be available during the fair. Most pieces will be offered hand-painted, while a selected few will also be available unpainted for those who enjoy adding their own personal touch.
Below is a first look at the finished roombox, to give you an idea of the atmosphere and style I’ve created.
The International Dolls House & Miniatures Fair will be held at Expo Houten on 25th January 2026, and I truly hope that this display will inspire, delight, and perhaps spark a few new ideas along the way.
I’m very much looking forward to sharing this piece with you in person.
