Miniature Cherry Blossoms in Bloom.

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. As always, it has been quite a busy time, filled with preparations, projects, and ideas constantly flowing. But on Saturday evening, I felt the need to slow things down and take a little pause. No dolls house fair preparations, no TV show projects, no new design concepts. Just something simple, peaceful, and made purely for the joy of creating.

I wanted to do something with my hands, something delicate and calming, and something that would allow me to relax and simply enjoy the process. So I decided to create a miniature cherry blossom tree in a pot.

It has been quite some time since I last made flowers, and with spring now in the air, it felt like the perfect moment to return to it. What truly inspired me was a nearby cherry blossom tree in my neighbourhood. It happened to be growing in a pot, which made it even more charming and unique. I found myself stopping to admire it more than once, and I knew I had to try and recreate that feeling in miniature form.

Out came the paper, floral wire, and my trusted paper punches, and I began the process. There is something incredibly soothing about working on flowers. Each tiny petal, each small detail, requires patience and care, but it also allows your mind to rest. Slowly, piece by piece, the little tree started to come together.

I found myself completely immersed in the process, enjoying every moment of it. No pressure, no deadlines, just quiet creativity. And sometimes, those are the most meaningful projects of all.

When it was finished, I stepped back and looked at it, and I have to say, I truly love how it turned out. It feels soft, delicate, and full of that gentle springtime atmosphere. A small piece, but one that brings a sense of calm and happiness.

It also reminded me how important it is to take these little moments for ourselves, even when life gets busy. To create something simply because we want to, not because we have to. Here is a short video so you can see the details.

So this is all for today. A small, peaceful project, just for me, and a reminder of the beauty in slowing down. Keep tuned for the next updates and latest news.

Take care and see you soon,
