Kicking Off T.R. Heirloom Bears & Co. on NET TV

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? I hope you had a good week. Welcome back to the studio! The very first episode of the new season of "Hello Min hemm?" on NET TV with my dear friend and presenter Malcolm Pisani has officially aired, and it was so wonderful to be back on set meeting my old friends, producer and crew. I finally started my brand new television project, and I am so excited to share all the details with you.

I kicked things off by introducing T.R. Heirloom Bears & Co. which will be an exquisite Edwardian teddy bear shop. The initials T.R. stand for the American president Theodore Roosevelt, the very gentleman who inspired the name of the beloved sweet teddy bear. This specific build is incredibly special to me because it was completely inspired by my two greatest passions colliding into one project: my deep love for dollhouses and miniatures, and my absolute adoration for teddy bears.

Since I am doing this for a television show, I am taking things one step at a time and starting off with the very first room, which is the main shop floor. During the episode, I began by showing parts of how to construct the actual room box structure using MDF. Once the base was explained, I dove straight into working on the shop front.

Considering that I am going for an authentic Edwardian aesthetic, I wanted the front exterior to have some lovely colour and character. I decided on a beautiful grey bluish tone for the main walls, and I am laying down classic red bricks for the lower part of the façade. The colour combination is exactly what I envisioned for this era!

It is looking great at the moment as I still need to continue with the bricking and finishing of the front.

Hopefully I will also start decorating the inside the with the wall paper and flooring.

Obviously, this project will continue next Monday, so please make sure to tune in to catch the next stage of the build. I cannot wait to show you how the rest of the exterior comes together before I start moving inside!
