Hello Everyone,
Hope you are all well and have enjoyed your weekend. Another week has gone by and in a few days we will also be saying goodbye to February too.
Have been busy like always and as I'm waiting for some supplies for The Master Swordsman Pub & Inn, I continued working on the tiny dolls house shop for Posy.
Posy and her own dolls house shop |
Being such a small scale dolls house I tend to work just for a an hour at a stretch. One can take so much focusing on such a tiny house. I haven't done much but, the little that I did, took me hours to finish.
The tiny house has three sets of spiral staircases. The worst part is that I had to build the staircase step by step which took me quite some time to finish just to wait for the glue to set. I have to admit at the end, they looked pretty cool.
The spiral staircases in place |
With the staircases in place, I could say that the inside of the house was ready apart from the furniture and accessories. Then I wired the house. Every floor will have a ceiling light and also the tine fire place will be lit. All lights will be attached to a battery.
Once the lights were fixed I closed the back walls, hinged the front panel and also attached the side walls. I also painted the roof and the outside walls. An extra addition to the dolls house, I added a small table, to put the dolls house on.
I have also started working on the tiny dolls houses that will fit in the shop. They are quite tiny. I hope that I will manage to paint them.
I still have to add some pieces of furniture and if I'm lucky, I wish to try a few miniatures of my own, to add to it.
Posy totally loves it! She couldn't help not sitting there looking at it, touching the tiny houses with her fluffy paw and smiling back at me. At least I got a tiny warm bear hug.
This is all for today. I hope you like what I have done so far on this tiny house. Can't wait to finish it and see the lights glowing inside.
Keep tuned for the next update on Posy's Dollshouse Shop.
Take Care and See You Soon.
Hugs,
Rebecca xxx
So much tiny wonderfulness!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much xxxx
DeleteRebecca, I totally love this dolls house, and of course the endearing Posy! She's one lucky, spoiled little bear!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can see the amount of work going into it, and it's getting more fascinating as the work progresses.
I also like the idea of putting the dolls house on that tiny table, because it looks as if the house has legs :)) It makes it very playful!
I find the interior fascinating, the colors give it a warm, vintage look which I totally love! The (very) tiny houses look great too! In fact, I was wondering if you need to paint them at all. I like the way they are now, and their natural finish makes them stand out very well against the lush background colors. They also have a playful, 'cartoonish' effect the way they are now. I fear that if you paint them, they may be 'lost' a bit... lost into the background, if you know what I mean.
I can't wait to see this little house finished and the lights turned on!! x
Thank you so much Jose for your wonderful comments on the little house for Posy. I have to admit Posy is lucky and spoiled. I can't help not giving her all the tenderness.
DeleteI have to agree with you with the the tiny houses and indeed I didn't paint them but kept them in their natural color. Thank you so much for your suggestion there xxx
This is going to be the tiniest dollhouse shop ever. The tiny houses are lovely. I'd love to see the dolls too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
