Completing the Cures & Remedies Apothecary - Part 4 on 'Life & Style'

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week. Can't believe that November has come to an end and we are all set for Christmas.

Have been quiet busy lately and I just didn't find the time to share with you the complete 'Cures & Remedies' Apothecary - Druggist project which was shared on the 'Life & Style' TV Show  on the Maltese Channel NET TV a couple of weeks ago.

I really love how it turned out. I have added a few more bottles and packages to the shop.

One of my favorite pieces is the National Cash Register.

The lovely Mrs.Pierce arrived to Regent Street just in time for the TV show. A qualified pharmacist who happens to be married to Dr. Pierce. Another beautiful doll made by my friend and doll maker Beverley Senatore.

The day came when I had to share it on the show with presenter Charles Saliba.

Here is the video with the clips during the TV Show.

There is always time for that photo with Charles at the Studio.

Here are some photos of the Complete project 'Cures & Remedies' Apothecary - Druggist.

Hope you have liked the new addition in Regent Street. Now I will be working on the other floor which will be called 'The Physician'. Make sure to keep tuned for the next update on this project.

Furnishing the Conservatory of Pembroke Grange

Hello everyone,

Hope you are having a great week. After a weekend of flower making, I have worked on the conservatory of Pembroke Grange.

Inside the conservatory
I have to say that this has to be one of my favorite rooms as you can enjoy the views of the conservatory from different angles and the best part that you can actually get the best glimpse of it from inside the dining room in Pembroke Grange.

The first furniture pieces were done weeks ago. Still can't believe how good they turned out to be. The day bed, arm chair with its ottoman, the chair and small table. All the fabric of these furniture pieces have been printed by me.

With my new 3D printer I made two side tables; one to go under the parrot cage and the other one to keep pots with flowers and plants.

I also got to print a pedestal for the bust that I had and gave it some weathering details of my own.

During this weekend I got to make some flowers for the room. I never made paper flowers before, but I have to say I am really happy how they turned out especially the Hydrangea.

The Hydrangea

Roses
The last furniture piece was a vintage Lundby regency style side board. Even if it is a 1:16 scale it fitted the spot well.

Here are some more photos that I took of the conservatory. I still need to add more but it is looking good so far.

I hope you like what I have done so far. Now I will move on to the dining room. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates on Pembroke Grange.

Take Care and See You Soon.

The Little Houses of Rebecca Micallef on 'Il-Bizzilla' Magazine

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week and that you are all well. Another busy week here at My Miniature World. The weather is terrible. It has been raining constantly without end. More good reason to stay indoors and work on miniatures.

I have been wanting to share this with you since the beginning of the month.  For the whole month of November I will be travelling on all the Air Malta airline flights, to all their destinations through their in-flight Magazine 'Il-Bizzilla' with a well written article titled 'The Little Houses of Rebecca Micallef' by the talented Christine Cassar.

A few months a go Christine came to My Miniature World to interview me about my work. I got to give her a whole tour of my collection and answered all her questions. She spent hours going through the dolls houses, taking pictures and just like a little girl, I could see that she was enjoying every bit of it. She was so excited going from one room to another, taking all the details, writing notes and just by looking at her I knew that this was going to be a great article. By the end of the visit Christine and I became buddies. Surprisingly enough we spoke about other stuff that we both like and we also share a particular common interest; English litreature.

A few weeks passed and as predicated Christine wrote an amazing article, honestly! The girl has talent and not only in her writing but I could see how much more she has put in it. The young lady, not only written about me and My Miniature World but I could also read her excitement and the joy she experienced when visiting. In short words Christine has poured out her heart into the article.

In the beginning of November she sent me a message all excited that her article was published for the month of November.

I was looking forward to see it printed and was honored to have a two full page article.

For those who would love to read the article, here is the link to The Little Houses of Rebecca Micallef.

Here are some of the photos that Christine took during her visit which now are published with the article.

From here I would like to thank the Editor for the Air Malta in-flight magazine 'Il-Bizzilla' Ms Dayna - Elyssia Clarke for this wonderful opportunity to share my work and also I want to thank Christine Cassar for writing such a wonderful detailed article. I am looking forward to see Christine very soon as she will be visiting My Miniature World once again. This time not as an interviewer and writer but as a friend.

Hope you'll enjoy the article and if you will be travelling with the Air Malta airlines for the month of November, have a nice flight and don't forget to look for the article in 'Il-Bizzilla' magazine in the pouch, fixed underneath your drop-down table in front of your seat.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Adding more to the Cures & Remedies Apothecary - Druggist Part 3 on 'Life & Style'

Hello everyone,

Here I am once again. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Two weeks passed since the airing of the on going project  'Cures & Remedies' Apothecary - Druggist on the Life & Style Tv Show on the Maltese Channel NET TV.

I was quite busy adding glass bottles and jars for the apothecary. Refrain! I meant lots of glass bottles and jars. Each one of them was labeled with Victorian period medical labels which I down sized and printed. I filled the jars with herbs and spices from my own kitchen.

Here are some screen shots from the Tv Show and the video clips taken during the show.

And like always there is always time for a photo with Charles Saliba at the studios.

Tomorrow at 12:10pm  I will be sharing the finale of the  'Cures & Remedies' Apothecary - Druggist Project on Life & Style Tv Show on NET TV.  Make sure to keep tuned for the next update.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

The Final Touches on the outside of Pembroke Grange

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week and that you are all well. Busy as ever here; working on new miniatures for my etsy shop and also working on two projects simultaneously.

It has been awhile since I updated you about my Regency style project. There is so much going on in My Miniature World at the moment, but I am pleased to say that Pembroke Grange is pretty much done on the outside.

Pembroke Grange

As the interior walls and flooring of the house were done, I focused my attention on the outside of the building.

The two front panels still needed to be wallpapered to match with the interior rooms.

The wall papers do blend in nicely together. I fixed in the window and door trimmings and with that I moved to front patio.

Once it was ready I started adding the final touches by weathering the whole building to give it a more realistic look.

During the weekend Pembroke Grange moved to its permanent place among my dolls house collection, where now it will be decorated with furniture and accessories.

Here are some photos of its details.

I couldn't help not turning the lights on when it got dark. Even though it is far from ready, I think it looks pretty.

This is all for today. I can't wait to really start working on the inside. I hope you like what I have done so far. Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,
