Visiting the Dollshouse, Miniature & Teddy Show in Expo Houten

 Hello Everyone,

How are you? Hope you are all doing fine. Yesterday afternoon I arrived back to Malta after an amazing weekend in The Netherlands. Posy and I got to spent two days and a half among dollshouses and miniatures. Friday as soon as we landed in Amsterdam, it is always a must to go to Gouda to visit the lovely family that runs 'The Cabinet' dolls house shop. I also got to visit a small dolls house shop  called 'Little Dream House' in Dordrecht but the Highlights of the weekend was the Dolls House, Miniatures & Teddy Show in Expo Houten. Today I spent my day sorting my miniature goodies and I have so much to show you.

I was so excited Saturday morning to go to Houten. The venue was perfect. Social distancing was followed to a 'T'  but it didn't spoil the atmosphere. The area was so huge that everyone was comfortable.

The two rooms were big as two aircraft hangers. One room was for dollshouse miniatures and the other section was for Teddies. There was so much to see. I got to meet some of my dear friends and artists. It is always great to share and exchange ideas with alike minded people. I also got to make new acquaintances which I know will be fruitful in the near future.  The one day was not enough and once again I got to go again on Sunday.

I got so many miniatures with me and here are a few that I will be using for my own projects.

Gardening Supplies

Some gardening supplies to make miniature flowers, plants and trees.

Fabric

Lots of fabric with miniature patterns. You can never have enough fabric for upholstery and curtain making.

Furniture

Furniture pieces for my present project and for the Honey Church house. So pleased that I found indoor doors that fit the house.

1:24 scale

1:24 scale furniture kits from Mellisa's Laservill. Some lights and other furniture in barewood. I can't wait to really start working on the 1:24 scale house.

1:144 Micro Scale

I purchased the lightning set for my Baby Dutch cabinet that I had purchased from my previous visit in The Netherlands. Another beautiful project that I would love to work on.

I also found these figurines for the same scale. Look at that tiny baby!
Delicate Miniatures

Some of my favorite miniatures that I couldn't resist. The green bread box will be added to my collection of the same range. The kettle also matches it. The glass decanter and swan will be added to my Le Chateau and I just couldn't resist the tiny cat.

Other Accessories

A few more accessories. Some Christmas ornaments for Miss Holly, a teddy for Posy, a copper pot for Le Chateau, and an embossed tiled paper for my Delft Blue Project.

Posy and I couldn't resist not going to the Teddy Part of the Show. Posy insisted and refused to stay in my hand bag while going through the Teddy Show. There were so many gorgeous Teddies in different shapes, sizes and colors. Posy and I came across such a cute teddy that we had to adopt her. The cute Viva had to come home with us. Viva comes with a certification and we kept her name as given by her maker. We also got her a few outfits.

Viva the Teddy

Unfortunately I have to stop here because Posy is insisting that she wants to introduce Viva on her blog. So make sure to keep an eye out on Posy the Tiny Bear Blog

This is all for now. I hope you like my new goodies that I got from Houten.  A big well done to the organizers of the Show. It was a dream to be back in a show like this. There will be another show on 30th January 2022 and I am looking forward to it too.

Make sure to keep tuned for the next updates and latest news of My Miniature World.

Take Care and See You Soon.

Hugs,

Rebecca xxx
